Matt, Long time A's fan (84- current) I feel that Bily Beane is killing our team. he needs to be gone. He has done nothing but destroy us. Sure we have had some great runs but since he has been GM/Part owner how many W.S. Appearances have we had? zero... none zip ziltch nada... Billy Beane can't hold on to those players even if he wanted to. Give Billy a San Francisco payroll and he'll be able to keep all the players he wanted and he would have won a WS already but thats not the case.. A's have to settle for rookies and players other teams dont believe in. A's players are only gonna stay on the A's for as long as their rookie contact says they are. Moneyball can only take you so far (ALDS) before your big contract and experienced players take over (the A's dont have)

What hurts more Matty? Beane selling off your players for prospects year after year? The 0-6 record since 2000 in ALDS game 5s? or the fact that you have won a grand total of ONE playoff series since 1990?
