After racking up 250,000 miles in my trusty vw t5 2.5bnz I decided to give the old girl a makeover.
Although the engine is still going strong on original internals I’ve replaced most things like turbo/manifold and camshaft just recently it’s the bodywork that looked a tad rough.
I set about it at home prepping and sanding/filling and applying rust cure.
Luckily I have a friend with a unit so it was over there for painting.
I did one side and he tackled the other as it was a warm day and it goes off pretty quick. (I drove it home 3hours after paint).
Went for Ral 6013 and black parts to give it a military vibe.
New bumpers /bull bar/ladders etc and I’m well happy with the outcome.
New standard t5 suspension and 50mm rear 25mm front spacers give it a lift. 16” swamper wheels and the look is about there..
