This show is incredible and no one talks about it. This tyler dude is almost on Reeve's level (he might be better, but I have to think about it) and DESTROYS cavill on a fucking cheap CW show. The part where the bullet is flying to him, and he looks at lois with like a defeated look, and takes off his glasses to rip his shirt off is one of my all time fav tv/movie scenes. His eyes/face looking at her was incredible acting without saying a word. It's a travesty this show is getting cancelled, the showrunners said they had planned for 7 seasons and now they compressed the next three seasons into this one. Pretty sure his reveal was supposed to be for that seventh season.

I never thought I'd find myself in the position to be sad about a Superman show finishing - but here I am, finally _understanding_ why the big blue boy scout is so awesome. That's a lesson decades in the learning, and I'm so glad this happened - and I wish it wasn't ending... And fun fact - everyone in the interview scene, except for Janet Olsen, weren't actors but members of the crew on the show 🙂

I thought this was a really well-written episode. Tackles a "super" difficult topic that is typically never done in other Superman shows in how difficult it is for Clark to live a double-life and deciding to reveal his identity. The bullet scene in the diner reminds me that even if Superman is weaker now with a 60-year old human heart, he is still insanely fast! I also really loved the shout-out to the Christopher Reeve movies when Jimmy confronted Clark about missing games at the same time Superman was making saves: the falling helicopter from the first time Superman saved Lois in Superman I, the broken train track when Superman used his own body as a track replacement during the earthquake in Superman I, and saving Lois in the Eiffel Tower disaster from Superman 2. Really cool Easter eggs!

To answer your question, I'm not sure if the rain was real at any point in the film; however, they used rain machines for several days. Fun fact: It was so cold during filming that the rain machines and the actors had ice form on top of them, and the actors' hair had ice in it.

And yeah, nice to see Elizabeth Henstridge on this side of the camera - she's directed a few episodes of this show.

Sofia truly thought that she was rescuing Gia from the 'monsters' that were their family (including herself, it's why the orphanage instead of Aunty Sofia's house I think). What she didn't understand until this visit was that she had just continued a chain of trauma, and she was horrified with herself. And Oz was the middle child - Jack was 15, Benny 10, so I'm guessing Oz was 12-13 when he dropped his first bodies 🙂 This show is a fascinating character study for _multiple_ characters, gonna miss it when it ends.

Jenny Agutter was a gorgeous actress. And she portrayed this character as so earnest and sweet.

Only in any Japanese series does Megatron become Galvatron, past G1, albeit in the last handful of episodes. Pretty sure in Beast Wars/Machine, Animated, Prime, Cyberverse, and Earthspark, which are all American made shows, Megatron does not become Galvatron.

Would make sense that Superman would get a new suit; the old one was partially shredded by Doomsday plus his entire chest, including the "S", was destroyed. As far as defeating Doomsday, I'm also really curious as to how this version can be defeated. One possibility of course is to have everyone (Clark, Jon, Jordan, Steel and Starlight) gang up on him in a never-ending tag team so that no one person takes too much damage. But I agree with you that the more realistic scenario would be to come up with a completely different strategy than sheer force against force. Two possibilities: 1) Lara shows Clark a device that could send beings into the Phantom Zone, or 2) since this Doomsday started as Bizarro and Luthor transformed him into Doomsday, Clark (with Lara's help) shows him a way to reverse the effects Luthor made and turns him back into Bizarro. Then perhaps Bizarro can no longer live without the Doomsday upgrade and starts to die, thus offering his heart to Clark to replace General Lane's human heart, allowing Superman to be fully "super" again.

This is one of the best films of this genre ever made, and my favorite of them all. The practical effects were some of the best ever done, with no CGI trickerie...even till today. The atmoshere, the cast, the effects, the story, the teasion, and even the score are all top notch. They made a prequel in 2010, but it was...okay I guess. Way to much CGI with a forgettable cast, and blah story. "The Thing from Another World" was the first movie in 1951, it's a pretty good watch. All are based on a 1938 novella from John Campbell Jr called "Who Goes There" Had a good time watching this with you, nice job with it. The scariest thing about it is...Even you wouldn't know if you were the Thing, until you went monster. Till the next one, Enjoy.

It was all Hot Rod's fault. That's clear, but real reason Optimus Prime died was Toy Sales! That's right, Hasbro toy line wanted to bring in new bots, but the series has tons of bots in it. So they used the movie to remove older toy lines for new ones. Where Spike was a teen in the first 2 seasons, he's now a father of Daniel (also known as Dan-0 by the bots). This didn't sit well with kids who asked parents to buy thy toys. So Hasbro course corrected and brought him back. A newer, all plastic version would be released. It's not as good as the OG, but nothing ever is. By the way, I was 17 when I was introduced to the series and went all in on the toy line. I had the OG Optimus and Megatron toys.

If for example, sweet sofia wasnt born in gotham or a mob family, she wouldve grown up a completely normal member of society The environment we are born in and grow up in is what makes someone a "monster" or not a monster. The family you grow up in, the way people treated you as a child, the help you got or didnt get, etc But then again, the argument can also be that all humans are evil or monsters, and the environment is what awakens the monster that is inside all of us

It isn't doomsday it's bizzodoomday there past mars in the asteroid belt superman dosent need air the sun provides everything he needs his lungs act like diver air tanks they can hold an unlimited amount of air it's how he can have super breath and ice breath he can regulate his own core tem to lower the air.

I'm not yet convinced that was Superman's heart that Luthor destroyed. For one, we know that Superman's skin is invulnerable and skin is the body's largest organ (at least in biology). If his internal organs were as weak as a human's, then Superman would be susceptible to poison, gasses, cancer, etc. but he is typically invulnerable to those things. Secondly, killing Superman would be Luthor's greatest accomplishment and I can't see him willingly give up his ultimate trophy so easily.

The scream from bennings is so terrifying because it's literally the death scream of thousands of other alien species that this creature has consumed and eradicated through a millennia, thousands of different species, thousands of planets completely consumed and eradicated into this one being, and it records and remembers every one of them. And uses it as a staunch warning that they are next. And this is John Carpenter confirmed.
