Is there proof? I had heard report they made 8x the budget pretty fast, it even had data on which IP was selling worst. Edit: Figured it out. Misleading- the game was successful and their negative number is from purchasing PlayerFirstGames (company) separate from direct spending on the game. It’s not fair to say Mv lost $100m, and it barely made sense because honestly I doubt that’s even close to how much the game cost. The game is not that high quality. This would be like saying Disney lost billions buying Star Wars at the time when their releases were grossing $1b. When you buy a whole company/franchise you don’t tend to expect to make it back in the same fiscal year. The individual stuff they put out is not weighed against that cost. All that matters is they’re one of the successes on the slow road to making back the money and then some which was always the intent of buying a company… From what we’ve heard, as a product it has been successful. They won’t internally consider this red a failure.

The one thing I kind of dislike about Multiversus current editing, is that they show mixed footage of the characters gameplay of them moving super-fast and them moving super slow in other clips. This was happening for Nubia's into the verse presentation as well, something that really bothered me as I like super speedy spear users. You can only imagine the heart break I felt seeing how sluggish she was when I played her.
