Their hair is getting so long, and it looks so shiny!!!😍It would help if you started deep conditioning the girls' hair weekly to keep the hydration in the hair longer. A hair mask with an electric heating cap or a hair steamer for 30 minutes would work wonders on their hair. A water filter would also help with the consistent dryness issue. Cowash is supposed to be used in between wash days as a stand-alone cleanser. Cowashes are for a natural "curly girl hair routine", cowash then deep condition the hair for a week. Then the next week on wash day you use conditioner to detangle, shampoo, and lastly a deep conditioner. When your hair is longer than 6 inches deep conditioning it and using a leave-in conditioner before a cream-based styler is the only way to help retain length, moisture, and shine in natural hair.

You're a doing a great job!!! How is the homeschooling going? We just put our great grandeedaughter of three in pre-k 4 using the A Beka Curriculum. I have two other grandchildren who are now using it and are in 1st grade and the other in prek-4 with my great gandee who lives with us! I lift you up in prayer as you be that wonderful mother to two lovely darlings, giving them special loving care! This was actually a good first try you got all the right products to use, you just need a few tips on the execution of how to style the hair❤ The first mistake was trying to do a wash and go on dry hair that isn't freshly washed and deep conditioned with type 4 natural hair. The hair needs to be soaking wet or slightly wet NOT damp or dry hair. You need to blow dry the hair fully if it's damp it will flake. Also test the products by mixing the combination of products on your hair together. If the product doesn't evaporate in your hand clearly but clumps it will flake in the hair. More gel less leave-in conditioner is the best rule of thumb, so try to pick a gel that has moisturizing ingredients in it.

My daughter got me a set yesterday. I washed it before I used it. I just made popcorn. It worked very well. But it did smoke a lot not a burn smoke because the popcorn was perfect. But it smokes up my whole kitchen with smoke. And the popcorn has a weird taste. Did u have an issue like that. I’m gonna try one more time to see if maybe they need to be heated before they are used.

Try to use a rinse-out protein conditioner with a lot of slip before you shampoo the hair so the detangling process is easier. Try a clarifying shampoo focusing on the scalp, then repeat shampooing the hair with your moisturizing shampoo. Your daughters' hair is getting longer so you need to use creamy hair stylers and deep condition the hair, if you want to retain hair growth. You only use a rinse-out conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and hair lotion that isn't going to cut it as the hair gets longer than 6 inches. Shampooing twice helps the hair receive the deep conditioner into the hair strands afterward. I recommend the Felicia Leatherwood brush and the Tangle Teezer Naturally Curly Hair Brush for detangling when you use a deep conditioner after shampooing twice.

You my dear are a gooooooooood mother of a young lady!!! I homeschooled my darling grandees using the A Beka Curriculum and they were two grades ahead of their peers in regular school! Loved it because it offered a mandatory Biblical class! One went on to college to be an Petroleum Engineer and the other in school finishing to be a Doctor of DO.!!!
