For the discussion at 1:00:00 (newbee thoughts) The merfolk (or other exotic beings) farm sounds like a great mechanic, as a first time hearing about it. I wouldn't even have thought to make the comparisons that led to it being removed from the game; and imho, it sux that it has been removed because of a Reddit group of 🐴. Sounds like an over reaction, because, at the end of the day, it's still just a vijagame Maybe i'm missing something, but and exotic beings farm doesn't phase me at all; grew up with MK or Sims (pool ladder or kitchen door deletes) or RCT (unfinished tracks) or GTA, etc. Not everything need to be sanitized beyond cozyhell, not everything is a dog-alarm. It's ok to "advanced" mechanics in games PS: yes, trolls are bad, mkay. Probably noone will read this but that's my 2 cents.

I think the "Acquire Objects" need is only satisfied by picking up crowns, rings, amulets, etc. It isn't satisfied by new clothing (which they need much more often just to prevent worn clothes).

I'm at the very beginning of Tiny's adventure; in fact you've just chosen Tiny as his name. And so far I'm very much enjoying this game. You said at one point in another video or livestream that Qud is hard for people to watch but I'm not seeing this; it's quite watchable for me. I do have one question: what type of character are you? I know you're super strong etc. but I couldn't tell exactly what type your character Tiny is. Also, I love the storytelling in this game. It's just as deep as anything Dwarf Fortress can come up with. I can see why the devs want to join the company that makes DF.

5:16:30 HARD disagree. Borderlands 2 is a great game in my opinion, and it wouldn't of made so many people so incredibly disappointed by the movie if it wasn't beloved. Borderlands 1 I have no opinion on, 3 is better gameplay wise, sort of, but flopped on the story. I beat Borderlands 2 (and 3) solo, hell I beat both multiple times solo. I'd save "Horrifically bad" for games that deserve it, like ET, or launch day Cyberpunk

Then I've watched the first 3minutes of "Worst Map in Dwarf Fortress History." Stopped, because spoilers, then watched the stream archive of that; resumed "Worst Map in Dwarf Fortress History." Now i'm watching all the stream archives, fort by fort, in no particular order. I've ever only had a passing interest in DF, tried to play it at Steam launch again, almost immediately quit because Single-threaded spaghetti-code resulting in <20fps at only 22% cpu usage.

It's funny, I don't think I've ever denied/delayed getting nobility in a fort no matter how unstable my position, haha. Somehow I'm always surprised when I see you do it, even though you do so semi frequently and with good reason when you do. :)
