Stairway to Heaven one of the best hikes I have done. It's a difficult hike especially on a muddy day.

As I understand it the stairway is going to be torn down and closed.
Your video inspired me to do this hike when I first viewed it. Finally made it back to Oahu last Sept and did this hike. This is a fantastic hike. Be prepared, there are a couple points with ropes to climb the very steep ridges. It was pouring rain on this section when I came down, just for an extra bit of fun. (I've seen in the news that the haiku stairs will soon be removed by the county gov.)

There was a way to go from the Water Shed area, but things changed and I can't find the trail. I was told most people go on the middle trail (the one you're on) #3 trail can go up, but to me too dangerous. But can most likely see things.
