I haven't played guitar in years and am getting back into it and this is my new guitar of choice. A great musician can make a cheap instrument sound amazing, and a shitty musician cant make anything sound good

I'm thinking about getting one, but I'd probably change out the tuners. Either locking tuners or I'd get some conversion bushings to put in Kluson split post tuners. I have 6 Squier Strats/Mustangs and a couple Fenders but I don't have a proper Telecaster.

for some reason telecasters just look so cool to me. Just ordered the same one in torino red. Can't wait to give it a go.

He looks and sounds like somebody who would give Trump one up the arse. I think his mum would have rather him have run down her leg than enter her.

I liked mine no set up needeed intonated and pretty good...just donated it to a co workers son...good beginner guitar

I've got this one and I really like it. I had no trouble with the frets-all nice and smooth. Also, I just measured the neck width, and mine definitely tapers-the nut width is about 1.69" and the heel width is about 2.2". Although, I have noticed that mine does't have the skunk stripe, so maybe that has some significance, I don't know. I can't really comment on the weight. I've heard other reviews saying how light it is, but it feels fine to me. But, I think this is the main problem with cheaper guitars, you are not entirely sure what you're getting. For example, I recently got a Squire Mustang, and its fret ends are sharp, its intonation is all wrong, and the action is too high-easy fixes, but still.

Some says sonic teles neck and fretboard feels rough cause it's raw, so I'm a bit confuse in buying now,i need a budget guitar soo sonics are my budget type as for now, does it feel good i mean the fretboards and neck? Or does it need to be sand

Wish it was even thinner and lighter. Not a fan of heavy guitars. Neck dive is a function of strap button placement and center of gravity. I guarantee no neck weighs more than a fully loaded body.

My prefered guitar for any squire guitar is the squire bullet series i had a black n white stratocaster Id play the living crap outta that guitar not all brands are that bad squire does have some good guitars but this telecaster has a not so good neck profile

It's all hype and marketing rubbish. Prince's Telecaster copy cost him $30. It's what you do with them that makes a difference. There's nothing wrong with the Squier Sonics.

I already got a Squier Sonic Stratocaster so looking forwards to this. Was thinking of getting the telecaster Sonic as well.Ive found my Squier to be fine, one fret had a slight bit of damage from assembly Im guessing, but it polished out first string change.A set of ratio tuners and a set of bullet strings and its good to go. For me the Squier suits me as I think once you mod them, tuners pickups and electrics you spend around 1k plus 400 purchase price here in Aus.So at the end of the day you have a better playing guitar than a legit Fender on the bottom end of the range with not as good gear on it. Ive had mine now for four months and almost worn out a second set of good strings. I love my maple neck.They set them up high so people dont hear fret rattle in the shops when they try them out.I did a complete set up and it made a huge difference especially pick up height as they are set up real low. You just convinced me to get the Telecaster too.

Put a Seymour Duncan in the bridge of the telecaster i think its routed for humbuckers 😎🎸👍 and im shocked 😮 your telling me seriously that a cheap Telecaster bridge pickup is sounding better than your Gibson's Bridge 😮 you'd have thought 🤔 EMGs would have more output

I've had the same model in the same butterscotch for about a year. I rub linseed on the neck about every third string change, and that raw maple feels great. I do that about every third set of strings. Loving mine.

I'm 55 and just bought the Torino red Sonic telly with the dark fretboard. I am starting to play again after 20 years hiatus. Got my wife going to the dollar store and find that file for me right now😂 . I agree with you and love this telecaster, I like to play unplugged a lot and it seems like it has great tone, sustain and action.. My only drawback is this, I played stratocasters back in the day. The square edges and no relief are kind of getting to me. I mostly play sitting in a chair and can feel the non-radious corner on the back of the guitar where it rests on your leg kind of get uncomfortable after a while. Also missing the belly relief like a Stratocaster. I have to say like you, I thought these were so ugly when I was young stoned and into heavy metal😂... I think they are the best looking guitar now. Thinking of getting a router with a 1/2-in round over and taking it to that backside corner where it rests on your leg? Also thinking of doing the belly relief as well. Part of me thinks why not just get the $200 Stratocaster instead of cutting into this thing? I don't know except to say that I love this guitar and only costing $200 makes you brave to cut into it and make it your own!!

What did you put in for new pickup's ? I replaced the pickups & wiring harness in my 2018 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus GX with Seymour Duncan SH-2 neck & SH-4 JB bridge pickups and I bought all CTS Push-Pull Pots, DPDT, Split shaft, 500K-ohm (CTS #450S 3911) - 4 Pack with, Pair (2X) - .022 uf/400 v Orange Drop Capacitors. A Switchcraft Gold 3, way toggle switch and Switchcraft Gold 1/4" output Jack, and insulated 5 conductor guitar wire. Then I downloaded the "Jimmy Page 50's style wiring diagram" It took a few attempts to get it all right and working properly but I finally got it right and it sounds way better than it did with them Gibson 490r & what ever the other pickup was.
