WinTAX 4 Basics
Переглядів 12 тис.8 років тому
This video is a walk through to show the basic use of WinTAX 4 for viewing data logs from a Magneti Marelli ECU. We show how to add graph windows, how to add & remove channels, how to edit your graph windows, how to compare runs.
Yeah! How's the truck?
Plus, if one light is out, will that stop the rest of the lights from working? Thanks so much!
@@rahnellmonroe5608 no you can have 1 single burnt bulb but the rest will still work. If they are all out it could be your dimmer switch or the solder joints like mentioned in this video.
@@twowheelwerkz810 Thank you! I was wondering! I was thinking maybe I'll just bypass the dimmer switch. Is that possible?
Thanks for the video! What would you check if the cluster lights are not working?
Is this similar to McLaren Atlas?
Brilliant! I just finished mine and it works! I can’t thank you enough!
Glad to hear it helped you out. Thanks for watching.
Excellent! Thank you
Can you tell me what the turn signal bulbs use so i can get them on hand before taking it apart? 2002 3000re. Right ts is bad and intermittent tach/speedo.
Do you have any info for the MT940 dash, and MT941 data logger?
That’s awesome. What’s the cost to have that done?
Awesome video thank you!
Glad it helped out thanks for watching.
I'll try it on my non working cluster. Thanks for your video!
This fixed my cluster except for the oil pressure gauge it stays at 50. It was working before the failure. I took the dash out again and re-soldered the connector. Anything I can check at the gauge ?
Have you checked the sending unit on the engine? Might also look closely at all the solder joints at the ends of the traces for the oil pressure gauge on the circuit board.
@@twowheelwerkz810 The re-soldering fixed it working now. I used dielectric grease on the pins of the gauges helped with installing the board . Thanks for the video.
Can you do a video on fixing the fuel guage
If your fuel gauge is staying “full” at the time, changing the sending unit will solve your issue.
Do you know how can I change the graphs from distance in "radians" to distance in "meters"?? Thank you for the video!
Unfortunately I used wintax for drag racing application so never messed with changing any of that.
Great video. The solder on this, like many automotive solder joints that fail, is likely due to the solder being too brittle. When you reflow, using solder rated for high vibration environments will often give you a repair that lasts longer than factory new. Again, great info you've set out here.
Thank you for the video!
No problem, hope it helped. Thanks for watching
Awesome! How’s the truck coming along
Great Video!! Thanks for the help!!
Thanks for watching & glad it helped out.
Have you ever had to test the gauge its self if the soldering does not solve the issue? The Temp gauge in my cluster has not been working, wanting to be able to test the gauge to see if that might be the issue.
Most temperature gauges work off of resistance on a ground circuit. So depending on if your gauge is staying all the at the bottom or all the way to the top, you should be able to test your gauge by the following methods. If it is staying at the bottom you can test it by removing the connector from the temp sensor and putting a jumper between the 2 wires, this should peg the gauge at full hot, if the sensor has a single wire you should be able to ground it on your engine & this should also peg the gauge full hot. If your gauge is already pegged full hot before disconnecting the sensor you more than likely have a wire that is grounded out somewhere. Hope this helps with your question, thanks for watching.
how to put the data from witnax into racerender ?
Unfortunately I have never used racerender so I will not be of any help with that. Have you tried saving your log file, then opening it up in racerender?
I need help with mine. Can you help me please. You got a phone number?
What kind of help are you needing? Send me an email justin@twowheelwerkz.com explaining your issues & I will do my best to walk you through it.
Great walk thru. Looking forward to more content from you. Lets get you to 1000 subscribers.
Man, thank you so much!
No problem, glad it helped out!
Can i fix same way on newer inter 2003 2004? Cluster?
If it is having similar issues it is more than likely worth a try. Never messed with any newer clusters.
@@twowheelwerkz810 My does no lights some gages i did replace the bulb lighf but still no light and other gages light went out after i only tryed replace bulb light as well as speedometer not detenting the progatmed speed limit. Already set at 65mph Truck still runs over 80mph?
@@twowheelwerkz810 Only 2003 model And no light on most on gages and i did replace bulb light
I would definitely give it a try, not much to loose.
Endless possibilities.... Mad scientist
When did you get so old? I'm going to have to start calling you gramps
Great video. It's obvious that you care about your work. The cluster for the Physics Bus has been out for a while. I resoldered the connections and now when I put it back in the turn signals are all wonky and it won't pass inspection. Do you think I bumped something? Could a solder bridge have caused this? Won't the turn signals work fine even if you drive it around with the whole cluster is unplugged?
It seems that the blinkers will not function with the gauge cluster removed, so something in the dash completes the turn signal circuit. With that being said I would assume you either bumped something loose while you had it out or you possible bridged 2 of your solder joints. Might try looking at them under magnifying glass.
If you dont feel confident enough to attempt this repair after watching the video, please feel free to reach out & we can handle this repair for you if needed.
How much does it cost
@@nickbartell4480 I will repair & ship the dash back for 175.00
Hi, I have a 2004 9200i and the speedo acts weird. It works properly most of the times but sometimes the needle drops 5-15 mph while accelerating. No big deal when I’m on throttle but it does the same thing when I’m on cruise control. And when it happens, the truck starts to speed up because it thinks it’s slowing down. Keeps accelerating till I turn off the CC and the needle goes up and shows the correct speed again. Speed sensor already changed, wiring from speed sensor to ECM is already inpected, it looks good. Do you know what could be the problem?
@@982berti I have never messed with the dashes on the newer trucks. Might be worth taking a look at the solder joints with a magnifying glass.
Do you still woron clusters
could you please tell me how to download the WinTAX 4 4.52.02 software? please send me the download link to my email: keens@hotmail.com
