Scoot finally got a chance to start and play significant minutes and did well. Simons/Grant/Ayton are keeping our rebuild fro fully evolving. Its time to take another direction and see how it unfolds. Looking forward to a new head coach next season

This rebuild should remind fans that overpaying to retain assets like Jerami isn't always the best way to gain assets down the line. At this rate we will be lucky to offload Jerami's contract for 2nd round picks and a nearly equally terrible contract in returning salary. Same could be said for Anfernee although I think we will let him expire for nothing. Portland always has to overpay their free agents so maybe management should change tactics of trying to parlay contract assets for future timelines and instead strictly build through the draft and cap space by using it to be a 3rd team facilitator of taking on dead money.

Joe had all of last season and the summer to find a deal for Jerami, Ant, or anyone else. Instead of actively seeking deals, he wasn’t even listening to trade offers. If he comes up empty this deadline, it will be a failure on Cronin's part.
