hi Critter, Hi Ketch. i live in buffalo,n.y, and you played at the cmac in Canandagua, i was to your left Critter, and i yelled something,and you answered me, but i'll be dammed if i can remember what we said to eachother, i was at a loss for words. I was hoping to get a backstage pass but i came with a friend who is sick with cancer, So, i couldnt even try to get back there even if i could.I was so happy to c you guys, I couldnt control myself, I think you heard me, because thats when you said something, it was probably something like thank you!! lmao.I really wish you would come to the Town Ball Room again.I never did get to c ya there.. Let me name a few of my favorites ...There is Genevieve, fire water, dearly departed friend, and one more Critter, but not the last, is ...Brushy Mountain Conjugal Trailor..omg i love you guys !!!! Please come to the town ball room again .i want FRONT ROW SEATS!!! i want to kiss you.Do you think your wife would get mad?? I can believe how commercial/sterile the country store has gotten. I used to dance like that all the time when I was a little kid back in the early/mid 90's. Seemed like they would just push the shelves out of the way to make room and all the old-timers would set up on folding chairs. To see this; the stage, the prop/background, and most of all - an audience sitting on their butts - how could you sit through this? Looks like it's not a jamboree any more, just as many people as they can pack in chairs, 5 dollars a head, please.

Just saw Willie last weekend in a little hall in Peninsula,OH. Amazing show. He sounded awesome and completely commanded the room from start to finish. If you see him out supporting his newest album make sure you check him out. BTW really gracious. He stayed after meeting everyone taking pics. Really taking time to have a few words with the people that came out to see him.

Ketch Secor is the heart and soul of Old Crow but his voice never sounded better than when Willie was backing it up.

Sad these two couldn't work it out.. but Willie has grown, and anything from him is better than nothin.. And to all those sayin "oh he's so skinny he was strung out" do ya know that? Looked as healthy as I've seen him the other night, great spirits.. showing love everywhere.. And he's still maybe 5'7 115 lbs soaked.. skinny can also=healthy.

that tune goes by a few names.... waterbound, stay all night, or Way Down in North Carolina if you search for Tommy Jarrell Stay All night, you can find an earlier version of the old time song . lyrics are a bit different though.

This is a traditional song, and depending on who you ask, this is either Waterbound or Stay All Night. I think this version of the song is mostly Waterbound, but Old Crow recorded a version and put it on their Trans:mission album, and called it Stay All Night, so it's your call. If you're looking for other versions or information on the song, you'll probably have more luck searching for it under the Waterbound title.
