Love this! We just purchased this model Jukebox today.
Awesome, love watching your videos. I have 5.
I just purchased the same unit.
nice video. thanks for filming this.
Hi, you said to clean the mechanism with 99 proof alcohol. What kind of lubricant should be used after?
Wurlitzer 1961 model 2510. Letter and number selections work but nothing happens. Was working fine up to only a few weeks ago. Wife said that the last time it worked, after pressing the letter and number keys there was a loud 'snap' and that was the end. Appreciate any help and documentation on how to fix this problem. Thanks.
Nice!I have question: how fix burned out integrated circuit? Can somebody can do it this?I mean on Technics AN 660 IC for Technics RS-B100 cassette deck, this is for DD capstan motor,it`s motor controler.
Hi there . great video thank you . I have a '59 2304 wurlitzer . I'm trying to find out how to adjust or service the tracking . My machine selects fine but doesnt seem to be tracking properly . it would have to be very similar to yours . if not the same . sometimes it plays all the way through the record & then the tone arm will lift off & hit the record , half way on the return . Sometimes it struggles to play all the way through & starts skipping . is there a tonearm force adjustment ? Or a shaft in the back thats needs lubrication ?. I Can see the curved Cam in the back , That I'm guessing , is something to do with the tone arm tracking . but I'm not sure where to start . regards steve
This a good video
I have one aswell I had to change the mec pick up arm it's running well now
My buddy has a Wurlitzer Americana 3700 with no sound. It was working fine one day and the next day there was no sound. Still plays and operates well but without sound. Any quick fix ideas? We are not at all experienced in repairing jukeboxes Thanks much!
Probably a dead tube
Hi there! Thanks for the video. The PCB at 6:01 in the video I have but I can't find a pin out for the edge connector. Do you have one or a link to one? Thanks
how did you clean the fingers that grab hold of the record (4.30) ?
The aux power plug was probably for a booster amp, as clearly the built in amp was not of great power for a large bar or restaurant. If there is space inside the cabinet, an aux amp was probably an option. Some companies offered a preamp for a paging microphone, these usually "ducked" the phono music when the press to talk button was pushed, then return the music to normal volume after the page.
Hola yo tengo un wurlizer igual a ese mi.problema es la aguja me gustaria saber como conseguir una aguja porque la que tiene esta mala gracias
Hi! I have a Wurlitzer 2500 (the 50 record model of your 104 record model) Do you know how to replace the turntable drive belt? I have the complete service manual but it does not explain how to replace the belt. The 2504 you show here and my 2500 should be the same. Just checking if you know or have a source I could contact. Thanks!
Thanks! I enjoy your videos. The problem with my 1957 Wurlitzer is that the record selection isn't working. When you make a selection, the lower selection wheel turns, as does the record carousel, but the song selected doesn't activate. (I can play a song by sticking my hand in the back and pressing the lever with my finger.) Any ideas?
Nice hack!
hi! I have the same bootleg board that you use in your test rig (@4:45 in the video). Ms Pacman ..It works incorrectly. I'm not sure if the rom contents are good, how can I check if they are good?
Thank you for the Wurtlitzer videos! I also recently acquired a Wurlitzer Statesman 3400 and it needs some restoration. Any tips on where to begin? Is there a course available for someone to learn how to repair and restore jukeboxes?
doin a full recap wish me luck 🥹
A friend just was given a 449, I'm going over to see it now...thanks for the vid. I have a Seeburg 222 myself, much older and TUBES.....I love Rock_Ola machines.....Love the title strips!!!
Cool
any chance you might do a video showing how to replace the needle?
Excellent staff mate very useful and simple. Grate tanks.....
This is very helpful. I just got a 414 and the carousel is jammed solid. This has to be the reason.
how do i change the speed of the record ?
hi i have a 449 rock-ola ,i would like to how to change the speed setting for the records ,as mine seems to be going to fast, thank you
Where can I find 29'' lights tubes?
Well it appears I was on the right track. Only thing is I have to keep the profile low and there’s a socket on the board already. I just wasn’t smart enough to pop the socket in then the leads and then solder I was going to solder and then try to pop it in. Thank you for making it simpler for me.
Love that model 449. They had this in the Pizza Hut that I worked at when I was a teenager all of 16 years old LOL, believe it was 1973, so the rock-ola would have been only a couple years old at that point
Hi,I have a Wurlitzer Baltic 1973, the sound was lovely, switch off one night went down the next day...nothing no sound, I'm really upset about it,who can I turn to? Thank you.
Rockola was using the Shure M44 cartridge around this era. That is probably the cartridge you would want. Anyone keeping one of these early 70's Rockolas would do well to consider buying a "junker" parts box from around the same era as those parts will be invaluable going forward.......... and really, a non working parts box can be purchased for $100 or less if one is patient.......
thanks so much man! Broke the pins off a 65c02 but I think this has solved it!
This was extremely helpful for my 64' Wurlitzer. Thank you for posting!
I have a backline 210 that from one day to another stopped working properly. Somehow now both my channels are distored. It used to work just fine. Weird I have no idea where to start looking
I can't get mine to play
My 449 has just given up after 40+ years, record carousel won’t turn. A COVID victim?
What is a good source for Wurlitzer manuals and schematics? Thanks. Hoping to own one soon that I have my eye on.
GOOD video. I'm looking at a Wurlitzer of this era and the seller tells me some of the buttons don't work. It plays good though. I'm hopeful that it will just need cleaning and lubrication. Any idea of what your jukebox is worth? Thanks for a good video.
Amazing setup.. how do u run all the games at the same time without blowing the fuse?
What's that brass wool or scrub pad ?
I do not have the key to open the door in the back of my jukebox. This same model. Any suggestions?
You would need to drill it out and replace i'm afraid
Please do more videos discussing the items you mentioned in this one. So much knowledge there!! I need it!!
I have the same bootleg board that you use in your test rig (@11:45 in the video). In order to make the board a FAST Ms PacMan, do you just swap the game rom labeled “2”? And can it use the same eeprom as a regular Bally Midway Ms PacMan FAST?
Can't hear a think you're whispering !!!!
TRUE! Even if I wear headphones! I had a teacher back in grade school once before -- that whispered to his blackboard!
Had my 449 for about 15 years. Temperamental then temperamental now. Will miss it when it gives up the ghost. Favourite track. Wonderful Life by Black.
