The only drone I have installed a gimbal on is a 3DR Solo, it was no problem-took about 20 or 30 minutes

Thanks Randy! Sometimes I shoot in 4k but usually I shoot in 2.7k because I can film up to 60 FPS at this resolution and It can be slowed down up to 50% if need be. This was shot in 2.7k.

Hello Brett, Thank You! This was shot in 4k wide, and yes, I did straighten the horizon in GoPro Studio by simply checking the "remove fisheye" in step one. Could zoom in with the software to help crop the warped sides but then the playback would look "grainy" on a larger screen. I have done all the mods I can can find to remove the jitters and they have certainly helped, however it was a very windy day and in some parts of the video I was fling about 30mph. playback has been quite smooth when flying between 10-15Mph on a calm day. Happy to help!

Thanks Rick! I was considering buying a Solo 3DR, I love the design & engineering of the quad and the prices have come way down. There are so many different types of quads out there, it's become a chore to compare the good ones, all have their strengths and weaknesses. I'll try to use the quad that I purchase for commercial purposes, so the client is going to judge the resulting video, one more thing to consider..It's great that you're able to shoot in such a beautiful location!

Thanks Brett! I thoroughly enjoy flying and filming with the 3DR Solo and for the price it is unbeatable, However for commercial purposes, There are better options (if you can afford it). The Solo cannot be flown indoors. If your work will include indoor filming, a DJI platform (P3 Pro, P4, P4 Pro, or Mavic) would probably be a better choice. I have know practical experience with these, only research knowledge on internet. I wish you the best in you endeavors!

Thank You Mark Humenik! This was shot with a GoPro 4 Black using a Polar Pro ND 4 filter (stock lens) all post, accept the music track, was done with GoPro Studio, it's not the best program but it is quick and easy

You will definitely need the gimbal to produce smooth, usable video. The GoPro 4 is the best camera option that will fit the 3DR gimbal, the GoPro 5 will not fit. Thanks again sstudio
