Absolut was originally made in Århus in Skåne (the most southern part of Sweden) 12:06 by the stateowned company AB Vin och Sprit (Wine and Liquor, the only one allowed to produce liquor in Sweden once). In Skåne we grow potatoes, also used for brännvin (potatoe vodka) and wheat (also used for vodka). Later the brand was sold to to the french company Pernod who still owns it and still produce it in Århus. Absolut vodka has a name heritage from Absolut rent brännvin which started being produced in 1879. But Absolut vodka was produced for the first time 1979.

I made the mistake of buying this without tasting because I read it was more dry than regular Tanqueray and I wanted to use it for martinis (with blue cheese oives.) It is definitelys lemony! Probably makes a good martini with lemon peele, lemon zest etc. as the garnish.

Ive always been a heavy drinker since i found luksusowa, its a really smooth and lethal drink if you throw it in a screwdriver or a raspberry ginger ale mix.

I was just at a ABC store here in America. The guy that worked there recommended Luksusawa vodka. I didn't buy it but next time I will.

Skyy was hyped as the "No Hangover" vodka when released. I drank it and had a bad hangover. Never drank it again. (Wasn't impressed with the taste/texture either.) ps. I did not see a review of Smirnoff in your vids. According to Google, "the world's top-performing vodka brand."

I've watched a few of your videos and have agreed with all your takes, especially that Grey Goose is over-hyped. Belvedere is going to be my "special occasion" vodka as it is $10 more than all the others of in that tier.

I was surprised by Broken Shed as well. I went online to read about it and found a negative review. Didn't change my mind and I'm glad to have the opinion of an expert on my side on this one ha ha.

I came to the same conclusion about Tito's: Decent for mixing. (It's very popular where I am in North Carolina and I suspect most are making mixed drinks with it.)
