Not sure who needs to hear this but, Elon Musk wouldn't sell lithium if it were valuable. He wants the public to buy in so he won't own so much of it when it's worthless.
6 years and one coment , let me change that
Well answered!
five years and no comments, let me change that
musk must be smoking some good hash to think Lithium is abundant.
elon put JV on the spot 🤣🤣
Hello I want try an good juice
India has It Now
I hope she left you.
Can anybody tell me how to overcome existential crisis ?
I can
India now has the second largest lithium reserves
Not quite. 5th largest probably since not all of it can be mined
😞🍫
This aged well. King bullshiter
Elon Musk has already helped instigate a coup against Bolivian leader Evo Morales to satisfy his desire for lithium
Ladies and Gents get your sickles ready for 2023 🍫🍫🍫 . 😉
Will we ever run out of vaginas?
They need to go to aluminum or sodium
Universe lie Unknown
Musk said: lithium is the third most common element in the universe. But according to science, oxygen is the third most common element in the universe. Lithium is not even in the top ten
Lithium is the third most common element in Big Bang Nucleosynthesis, which is where most of the matter in our universe comes from. Why lithium is so rare on our planet and in our astronomical observations is an open question widely discussed by physicists.
Musk said that today lithium is the third most common element in the universe, according to science he is wrong
if we had nuclear fusion energy we could have energy and neutron to bombard hydrogen to turn it into lithium... you could also split certain elements to get lithium
I'm surprised that Musk doesn't know such an elementary scientific fact
@@christoforosmeziriadis9135 im pretty sure he knows. But he hopes you don't.
Why can't you ship Lithium batteries through the mail?
There is nothing green about mining lithium. The mining process contaminates water and is still dependent on the use of vehicles that run on fossil fuel!! Elon is only pretending to care about the environment!!!
I hate when people say Elon Musk is so innovative, WOW, he put batteries in a car, but cannot find a better and more plentiful material then lithium. I guess he done innovating.
Reusable rockets and self-driving cars ?
@@airone3558 reusable rockets were invented by nasa in the 80s
they are currently working on replacing cobalt first
"3rd most plentiful element in the universe" HA. He's not rich because he's smart, he's rich cause dad owns an emerald mine. How is he gonna go to the nearest solar system or nearest planet for that matter and extract lithium?
@@DracoReptilesExposed lithium is not even in the top 10 list lol. Third most common element is oxygen
How is cobalt harvested? Is it safe to extract from the earth? How many children are used to harvest it, assuming it was harvested by children in Congo and other places? How toxic is it to the water and the environment after it is processed-at what costs? I am not convinced that lithium batteries are all what they are cracked up to be. Yes, we use cell phones, laptops, etc., but how many children slaves did it cost to have the luxury of electronic equipment and electric cars? Okay, okay, okay. I’m not sure if anyone is interested, but I’m appalled by the heartbreak that tycoons have caused.
3rd most common element in the universe? No one reacted to that blatant misinformation? Hydrogen is #1, then helium, oxygen, carbon etc, Lithium doesn’t even make the top 10. Even if he meant earth it still doesn’t make the top 10 lmao.
WHAT A BORING ANSWER, 😕 THE 2 MIN RESPONSE - WITH SO MUCH STUTTER- WAS VERY HARD TO LISTEN TO
Elon Musk is a modern Rockefeller. He invested in batteries and lithium like Rockefeller in oil, now he wants us to buy his shit.
This all means, it is as non renewable as petroleum or maybe more. One element they don't mention is Cobalt.
We will Go back to horse and carriage real quick. Lithium won't last as long as gasoline and oil production. And future generations will be on that 1400 living lifestyle. Or we could mine other planets but that's a whole lot of planning... Im Just gonna enjoy my attention getter daily 5spd EK B16a 8200rpm civic. Full go kart handling breaks necks at all The car meets. Full engaging driving experience. EV Cars lack character that's why all the car magazine reviews don't care about them.
Porsche has invested more than 5b in the development of bio fuel which would be as efficient as an ev.
Real question is "is lithium cleaner than oil?"
it's not
@@paulwiliam247 is also non renewable
@@RogueBeatsARG but recycleble but ig ethanol is the future cuz its renewable n carbon neutral.
considering that EVs don't burn lithium and battery manufacturing is becoming more and more efficient. yeah they are.
@@pooyaestakhry but bro we are actually losing lithium eg car crash the entire battery burns up, phones going ablase also burns off lithium and many incidents like that and im shocked by how many phones end up in dumpyards rotting along with the lithium, cobalt etc used to make evs..
Russia is the leading Nickle exporter !
No EPA has regulations that prevent minining in US for Lithium. China has like 80% of the world lithium.
Musk's family lineage is that he comes from an old money South African emerald mine owning family. Now Musk owns the electric car manufacturing company that is named Tesla Vehicles. Why did Musk not invest in and/or find lithium menial deposits and begin mining lithium and also to manufacture and own lithium extraction process facilities and then enlieu of purchasing the lithium batteries (that make up his Tesla battery packs) from China, build his own lithium battery factory. He could have corned the industry....but noo, he's into satellites (Starlink) and into surgically implanted computer chip brain implants and a rocket company (SpaceX) that builds relaunch-able rockets that than self land after launch. Has any one of SpaceX's rockets ever done a second trip without having to 1st undergo a complete and thorough overhaul and retro-fit of new parts. You know, have a rocket blast off, land itself, and then without doing anything else to it sauf for refuelling it and doing it again (IE: to blast off and land again with the same rocket as-is). It seems that either musk is not as smart as people claim him to be or that Musk has more money then what he would know what to do with.
Musk is wrong, lithium is not the third most common element in the universe. Not even in the top ten. And it’s not one of the most common elements on Earth
Yes and people are comparing this guy to albert einstein.
Twisted logic in America. “We need to use LESS energy.” Okay, full electric vehicles, less gasoline being used. Okay, how do we mass produce batteries and how do we power them and make them last a long time? “We use lithium-ion batteries that are rechargeable.” Okay, how do we get the power to CHARGE said batteries? And how do we produce enough lithium to make batteries without impacting the climate? Oh yes, gasoline and oil. Turns out, buying a Tesla doesn’t really make a difference like the hippies and Democrats say it does. Wouldn’t it be better to make more advancements in the technology we have today rather than starting over continuously? Maybe invest in nuclear power if we go down this road of electric cars and other bs? Electricity isn’t free, everything we do and use comes from somewhere and people don’t realize that.
White men going to steal brown people's lithium, pay them noting, fund a coup and put in a puppet government.
how did no one notice lithium is not abundant
It's not enough with current reserves, unless we find new, easy to extract deposits. If an EV battery has 20% lithium, that's 200g pr kg. So if an EV has a 500 kg battery, that's 100kg of lithium. If you take just 10% of world car production, you get ten million cars a year, which will require one million tonnes of lithium a year. Today's production number, is 90 000 tonnes a year. Increasing lithium production by ten times in just a few years is incredibly hard. Not to mention all the other stuff that needs lithium, like phones batteries etc.
thats kind of a dumb question because of course there is enough lithium were either going to make advances in lithium technology or we can find something similar to it in time being

What I cherish the most about going to a regular school as a kid, is the memories with my ex classmates, wich are my age and there for we connect ,every grade has his place in my development, not only in what I learned but socially too, grades matter because we are growing up and it feels right to have that sense of going up on the education latter, I understand the way he sees it is way better in terms of learning scientifically but not socially, I don't think he cares much about that, and not all people are geniuses , some kids need school to have a sense of security, normality, to discover sports, arts, learn hot to make friends etc.
You would still make social bonds in a school set up as Elon suggests. The learning process shifts but it’s still a classroom with students
@@Mythicalbeasty the different age kids thrown all together doesn't seem right to me to socialize, I can't imagine being 12 and bonding with a 8 year old or a 17 year old the same way it happens in a traditional school.
EVs are not the future. Ethanol is the future. Mark my words.
