    Thanks for the videos. They were instrumental in attempting to rebuild a 325 I recently bought. I changed essentially the same parts as you did, including the carburetor. However, my mower refuses to start when in the choke position. I am using an aftermarket carburetor. Any tips you can offer? Do you typically start from the choke position?

    I have a 1994 craftsman 6hp 14 amp 220v oil free unit that I used the crap out of and aside from having to rebuild the pump a few times and being noisy has been a worthy unit but I decided to change mine to exactly what you have since my motor is still great.i’ve been off my feet a few yrs do to medical problems but have had the 5 hp pump several yrs now and ready to use it but I got to checking amps and mine says 14 which being 220 is 28 but I think that’s only about 4.3 hp,you tell me what your spec for your motor is for amps?if craftsman was going to lie about it why did they stretch the truth so far they could have said 5,anyway I’m hoping I’m wrong here and that you may help me out.about the oil on the floor,,no one’s perfect.lol

    I bought a John Deere 325 in 1996 and sold it 6 years ago with 1100 hours on it. I like this tractor better than my X580. It really shined blowing snow. Many said that the snowblower was like a piranha eating snow.

      Did you find out the cause of the fire? I just picked one up that had the same issue. Gotta replace the PTO harness,belt,throttle cable and the ignition. All the wires on PTO harness were fried.didnt know if you by chance figured out the cause . I tested the clutch and it still works. Reads good on multimeter too. I may replace the PTO switch too as it was acting funny during testing.

    Man, the parts alone are worth more than the Tractor. I don't see this being worth more than $1,200. Even when fully restored. Then you have to find a buyer willing to pay it. Don't forget your labor as well. I just don't see a profit to be made here.

    • @RedBarnAdventures
      @RedBarnAdventures Рік тому

      Hello Willie, That may be true in some cases however you are not aware of where I get my parts as well as what the actual purchase price of the tractor was. There will be profit made. Not an outrageous amount but some yes. thanks for watching.
