what really annoys me is the money that is wasted sending people with drug and mental health issues to prison. To me the money could be spent on rehabilitation placements. £35,293 is what it costs a year for 1 person to be kept in prison. The money could be better spent as prison is just a revolving door for most addicts and people with mh issues. With SNP also cutting the budget by 23% is criminal alone.🤬

You take the drugs you take the risk.

If you watch you’ll see there’s deeper issues that are being missed and those taking drugs are self medicating after being failed early in their life. There are also far better treatments being offered but the government is reducing funding and letting people die. If people are treated early it saves the NHS millions but the service is caught up in being reactive.

Totally agree. Don’t give me all that guff that addicts are victims! They have a CHOICE to take drugs that first hit you make your own life. All these drug agencies and the like screaming for Even more funding makes me laugh. Every GP surgery every community centre and church building has N/A A/A C/A G/A meetings in them. Also these people that work in the drug support agencies and the like are taking in huge salaries so it suits them they’ve been through the system of recovery so know all the swerves. Stop making junkies victims and start to MAKE them take accountability and personal responsibility for their putrid actions. Social workers drug support workers too busy wiping junkies arses and enabling them to keep using keep getting pregnant neglecting their kids but the support & sympathy all help going goes to the Junkie! What kind of society do we live? One where NO ONE takes personal responsibility for their own life choices and actions. The blame game squarely on others. Makes me sick.
