Crucial: ❤All navigability is inaccurate precisely because it is a representation/model and thus limited to the position, orientation and reason for which it was made. Navigability is a heuristic towards opening perspective, not anything that can be objective. There is no 'one' or 'right' navigability. Also, 'affordance' does not mean 'good' or 'bad' but is a way of discussing interactive probability. These are maps, not territories, and there are many different maps that can be made of a shared space depending on what part of the territory one is hoping to better understand. Those maps are different from each position and matter differently from each position accordingly. For example: All bodies depend on other bodies in way-making, in the ongoing reality...so an affordance vector is only a way of trying to represent and understand what can never be understood or assessed in full by any representation.

I love the last couple of drops. I always say I’m going to come back and relisten and take notes, but life and all of it requirements often prevent having that extra time. On the subject of “if you wanna understand emotions, listen to Wagner rather than a psychologist,” let me say that if you want to feel emotions, certainly listen to Wagner, but if you want to understand those emotions, you still need a psychological framework. Yes?

As an itinerant gardener and armchair naturalist, this subject totally TURNS ME ON! Haha! Sheldrake's morphic resonance posits that "memory is inherent in nature" and that "natural systems ... inherit a collective memory from all previous things of their kind." He also proposes that it is also responsible for "telepathy-type interconnections between organisms."

I have taught English here. I have also lived in China, Taiwan, Cambodia, and South Korea for a total of 25 years. @@waymaking23 my dear friend, as I know this is a matter of interest to you, and I as well, I will rephrase my comment, for additional clarity: The duality of polarity is non-binary. While there are opposites and extremes of opposites within the paradox of polarity, they exist only within the paradigm of continuum, and are "beyond dichotomy" as such. At the heart of this fundamental investigation, we may find the questions around "what is Life" and "what is Mind (consciousness)"?? It is only when we dissolve linear causality that we arrive at wholesome understanding. Primary to the dynamics of action, there are the fundamental opposites of explosion (m) and implosion (f), while still, in the world of the whole, there is only one, ever unfolding and infolding continuously moving spiral. I love this conversation, Andrea! It’s fascinating how you explore polarity and find common ground amidst seeming opposites. This really resonates with me-when you look with clarity, you can see how polarities, like yin and yang, flow and intertwine, with the line between them often blurred. In Buddhism, we use a dialectical approach to engage with contradiction, dissolving dualities to uncover deeper interconnectedness.

@@philosophybabble wonderful to receive this, thank you! This is something I think of often because I resonate strongly with the Buddhist and also Taoist approaches relative to what you write above and yet I am also discussing "beyond dichotomy" here which somehow means we let the seeming polarities or opposites have the space to be distinct and yet also understand them as impossible to separate.
