That is a nice piece of property, and perfect spot for another cabin..My strategy for renting out my cabins has been to rent them out fairly cheap for the first year or two get alot of 5 star reviews, bend over backwards, and slowly increase the price, not sure if it's a good strategy yet..I thought I wanted to get a customer base, but there seems to be a never ending supply of cabin renters..There was a 12x12 shed on my first property that I turned into a beautiful cabin, I reframed it, Doors, windows everywhere, nice floor, deck, and the over lapping natural wood siding that I put on everything, that thing is always rented, I only charge $75 bucks a night, but it's in the Allegheny National Forest, just Inside Cooks Forest, which is a hellva popular spot..With the PVC pipe, I run everything vertically 6 inches off the ground past whatever I'm supplying and I have a screw cap, that I unscrew, and everything drains for the winter, learned that the hard way..Reviews are fairly important, and 90 to 95% of people will give you 5 stars just for providing an awesome spot..But the other 5 to 10% can be a challenge..But, reviews go both ways, so my tactic has been to send the renter an Email saying I've given them a 5 star review, 5 minutes after they leave, and that tends to work very well... Florida bound, for the winter..

Seen a badger today, and man he was like a body builder, walked right through my property in Malone New York..That spot is in the middle of nowhere, it's right by the Canadian border at the top of the Adirondack Forest..He walked within 8 feet of me, I was wrenching on my Tacoma, replacing the radiator, just happened to look over to my right and there he was, in all of his magnificence, gave me a little growl, and walked on through..He was all muscle and big...Had that gray stripe running down his spine..That's only the 2nd badger I've ever seen in the wild, he was a specimen..Gave up hunting and trapping long ago, and don't miss it, not one bit..Sometimes I go on long expeditions, usually with a loaded down canoe, and I'll eat fresh fish I catch the whole time, but other than that, I hunt these days with a camera..But, I killed pretty much everything possible to kill in America/Canada and Alaska, it's completely out of my system..Wish I would have got a picture or video of that bad ass badger...Hope I see him again..Byron makes a good bird dog..Peace...

When you were building your cabin I found a piece of property in Tioga County, I've built several tiny houses which are just bedrooms in the forest with a few windows on each wall, for that middle of the forest vibe, decks and porches, and I rent them out on AIRBNB/Hipcamp..Got the wood from Amish saw mills dirt cheap..Windows and doors from marketplace and craigslist..Metal roofs..Had them all rented out all summer..This is a good area for that, zoning wise, and a half hour from Ithaca and the finger lakes..The property had a 600 square foot cabin with a functioning water well and septic, (that's where I live) but the cabin needed some serious work, so it was crazy cheap, 14 acres...Just inside a State Forest..Just built a solar system out of (32) 280 AH EVE cells, to make a 30 Kilowatt battery With an EG4 6500 watt inverter/solar charge controller, JK BMS and 4000 watts of solar panels... No utility bills here..And the property earns a pretty good income..Took 3 summers full time...I was from Pittsburgh too...Good luck brother...

If I was living in Pittsburgh I'd want to escape too. People I know used to live there for roughly 2 years and told me about some of the bad areas there. It sounded scary.

Dunno if you're still active on this channel but i wouldn't mind some tips for fishing bass in the allegheny. I"m from florida and i'm used to fishing bass in lakes, not rivers. I tried using a texas rig all day and i didn't get a single damn bite or nibble. I personally hate using jigs that you pitch and toss into heavy cover, just never seems to work for me. Ever since i moved to pennsylvania i've been bored out of my mind and get turned off at the idea of fishing anywhere up here cause it all sucks. I always loved fishing for bass at a place called five lakes down in daytona beach, florida. It's largemouth bass heaven down there.

Have you ever considered installing a ram pump? It seems a good place for one and looks like you definitely have enough flow. With a small storage tank near the cabin and you don't have to risk you neck anytime you need drinking water
