Too bad the game causes so much frustration. Extra time or even the nice fireworks are no choice at all. If you're good and always beat your levels the first time, they're automatically activated and can only be gotten rid of by failing. I've never used the boosters like the vacuum cleaner, I've always struggled through the levels. Even if it is sometimes frustrating ;)

There is a simple answer to this: accumulated. Firstly, if you solve several levels in a row without making any mistakes, the booster box fills up to level 5. These are the clickable boosters. Secondly, I only collect event winnings before my session. As a result, I almost always have the two initial boosters that work automatically.

​@MergeMystique I've been repeating and repeating and the number never decreases.. it's a 1 min level without boosters it's impossible to beat the level.. I'm going the new team I'm in keeps needing more helps so I can accumulate coins to add extra time at the end. I've gotten the board down to almost empty of the nonsense by the end of the min so with the extra time I should be able to finish.. but right now I only have 44 coins and I refuse to spend money on these games. 😒

What exactly do you mean, what does your level look like?

@@MergeMystique My level 703 is seahorses, octopi, and starfish in five different colors. The highest level pack I see in this level is the Camping Trip pack that unlocked at level 600. I don't see any of the Vintage Vibes or Marine Wonders.

Just try it again and again, you'll get a feel for the levels at some point. I've also been able to solve ultra hard without any bonuses. It works, don't give up
