Yes over torque.
On low pressure units like these you can squeze that copper pipe shut and give it a quick brazing seal with no problems after checking your work is good and running again. You can have more pressure in a gardenhose than this tube.
That's horse crap. I'm a red seal refrigeration tech. When the system is On the low side with r134a is probably around the pressure of a garden hose. But the high side of the system will be about 3x a garden hose (120-150 psig). In an off state the whole system will equalize and sit around 100 psig. Also, those pliars are for penetrating the system, they don't seal it for him, it's for piercing into a system that doesn't have a connection, you then would need to drill a hole in the pipe and install a service port.
