Beautiful car... To this day, no car comes close. Highly regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. And to think how young the designer was.. An absolute stroke of genius, never to be repeated. ❤💪
Nice video and car. Very rare that such an old one survived. Here in western Europe they are all rotten away. Since I am 21 I have such (GTV6 2.5) a car. The first one was also rotten. Then I bought a good one in Lübeck, Germany. It was hit from behind by also a GTV6 on my birthday 👿 during a Alfa Romeo Club tour with 50 Alfa's through the province. I took it apart and saved most parts. I bought an extra one for €400 for parts. And lastly I bought a good one with a/c and I took it apart to restore it. That was 19 years ago..... Now I am converting one of my stables into a workshop for myself and then I can start the restoration. So I have most GTV6 parts triple. I really miss the drive and the sound from the car. A bit spartanic but a big joy to drive. Regards from the Ardennes
I bought a silver 2 Litre italian import off a shady street place in Munich 1983. She was pretty sick, but we managed to get her back onto her wheels. While that we found out she had been 'fitted' with all kinds of models GTV parts. Also an damperless exhaust system. People were sometimes counting down rallyelike at traffic lights. I was 19 years old and I will never forget the wonderful fragrance of the old interior, touch of the wooden wheel, form and breathing of the Bialbero and the brass we played all around the Lago di Garda. Like an italian Barone I felt. 🌻😊
Great add! Love those history moments..
Soggy day at the Italian car show! But there were some fine cars there. Nice job Scott.
It’s a beauty!
You wouldn't happen to have the plans to build a run stand such as that one would you?
Sorry, I don't have plans. We started with an Engine stand. Then cut it and added some Tube and angle iron. I have loaned it out, but maybe soon. I can take details and measurements. Scott
Add my intent to fab an engine stand. That motor sounds very healthy.
😍❤
That’s great Scott! Glad to meet you at the show! It was fun! …… and I went in to my storage box and found my English 10 text book! It’s ALFA not alpha. lol! Long live the 1750!
Alfa fotever!!!!!
It sure was a wet one! But good to catch up Scott.
Awesome but lose the bumpers dude.. ❤💪👍
Yes, we De bumped!
@@scottwalfaholic8139 😂👍❤
Judging by the dirt splashed on the rear, it looks like he's been putting it through its paces too!
Good eye! We supplied him some new cams. Apparently it has quicker paces now! Hopefully we get a ride!!
is this for sale?
I will ask again.
@@scottwalfaholic8139 where is car located?

hate to say it, but the GTV6 is a parts car. too much rot. The GT looks salvageable. Good luck if you take them on.

@@scottwalfaholic8139 do you know the price regards
GREAT WORK MATE 🇭🇲 👍
How's the gas tank? Working on a 74.
Gas tank was useable! We had to clean it well, and used a sealer! Not always the case! Many get small pinholes from rusting.
THX 👍
What year Scott?
I believe it is a 71. That's when alot of 1750s. Came out.
Hi Scott! Nick again. I laugh when you said you mixed up the 2 pieces on the front and. My dad used to always say everything’s easy when you know how to do it. He was a auto mechanic. Non-alpha back in 7879 when Mike and his brother bought the alphas he used to laugh at them. He’d probably change his mind now if he was still around. he loved fishing more than cars. I’m kind of the same, but I think nobody can resist. Nice old cars.
I went to buy a pick up in surrey one time, I asked how big are the holes in the floor, seller said…….well my pit bull can escape thru them!!! I did not go see it! lol 😂
I usually always expect some floor repair in an old Alfa. Most times you can get away with a patch. However!!!!!
I was on the fence until I saw the floors. It won't make its money back on a resto, so I would part it out.
Italian are all the same around the world ! 😀They love Alfa's and Ferrari's car 👍🏁 I do too Francesco Brussels Belgium

Good work boys! This is Mike d ‘s buddy nick’ . Really enjoying your site Scott! Hard core alpha guys!👍
Thanks Nick. We a little obsessed!. Love the cars!
It looks like an '83 or '84. front bumper and steering wheel changed after '86
Nice car! It's worth fixing up
Yup. You're right. It's a project. Take your time and enjoy it.
got to get mike and the mechanics on that! good work mike!😊
Is it for sale?
Hi. The Spider is not at this time.
Great little Alfa Spider! Thanks for the shop tour guys!
Is this museum in Italy perchance? Definitely want to add it to my bucket list.
Yes, Indeed! The official Alfa Romeo Museum near Milan
Nice car. Unfortunately your car has the same problem as every restored 105 coupe I've seen. My 1971 series 2 1750 came from the factory with mastic sealing at the back end of the gutter where the gutter ends and the gutter trim curves around into the belt line trim. The mastic is to prevent water running off the roof and into the belt line trims. My car has been sealed all its life and it still got (fortunately not bad) corrosion around the screw holes.
Only new petrol engines cars may be banned
All flying buttress seats had the basket weave, these seats have been reupholstered
love that Alpine, not only tape deck, also radio.
Sadly soon all gas cars will be banned in EU and USA! In France they have a new banning law for ICE cars called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland the HESCHLAVVO law! In Scandinavian countries soon there will be a so called SMORVERBIDEN law. In Germany from 2027 the new BABVVO and TEBBVO laws by the green peoples party will bann all gas cars from public streets only exception will be professional commuter trips and state-certified transports)!!!
That is nonsense! Why are you circulating such information? Germany as an example is saying no production of gas cars after 2030, however, that doesn’t mean you cannot drive them anymore. Young- Oldtimers have special rights towards heritage sites, and they get taxed differently, also there is no emissions test needed for those, please hold your horses dude..
@@1705Enzo Greens in Germany want a Babvvo law and the EU Commission a Schlaboubve in Switzerland there still is a Heschlavvo
Hi, I am interested for the car, how can I get more information?

Agreed, certainly some fettling. Feels so good to have it drive on its own. We won't basque long. Back to work soon.
looking real good there.... Should drive well once you've finished fettling it.
Nice job ... great to see another one saved 😀
Thanks 👍
nice GTA, prefer them in a darker colour. always wanted one of these. Prices are now going up over here in the UK, and a few Jap imports coming in now. looks like this one is an import as well ?
there is a destroyed Alfa 1750 down here in Brazil. There’s not one part on it that is good, but I’ve been salivating over it.😅 Good luck on your build.
I saw the old museum in Arese in 2001. An unforgettable treat.
Wes is the Spica god. A good Spica setup is a joy forever.

Es könnte sehr gut sein. Diese Lokomotive ist eine statische Ausstellung im Museum. Keine Sorge, ich werde in absehbarer Zeit nicht gefahren!!
