Hi girls and boys, in this video I show you, step by step, how to draw a regular quadrilateral pyramid . This geometric drawing is so easy to make 3D; its my priority to make videos simple to understand for beginners.
This video teaches people how to draw geometric figures, how to improve their technical drawing skills.
By definition, a regular quadrilateral pyramid is a pyramid with a square base and congruent side edges.
This drawing in space will be done in 3 steps:
Step 1: Draw the base of the pyramid, the square ABCD.
Step 2: In this square, draw the diagonals AC and BD, intersecting at point O (blue).
Step 3: Draw perpendicular VO to the square ABCD, where "V" is the top of the pyramid; join V with points A, B, C, D and the drawing of the pyramid is ready.
VO is the height of the pyramid and is denoted by "h" (red).
VE is the apothem of the pyramid and is denoted by "apo" (green).
Draw lines that can be seen with a thick continuous line and draw lines that cannot be seen with a thin dashed line.
Since VABCD is a regular quadrilateral piramid, all its side edges are equal to each other: VA = VB = VC = VD (black).
The base of the pyramid is a square: AB = BC = CD = DA (black).
