How old are you I’m just wondering if I know you
I Road that
I’ve written that
Do thunder striker
I thought this ride was super underrated
7:09 that helix is such a sexy visual from the midway tho, but yes, what a weak finish lol
i agree. you can definitely get some cool views
I’ve been on it it’s very fun
I feel like the attendance at great adventure is far lower than you would expect given the population level in the region. Like people in the northeast just don’t like amusement parks
i agree. hershey is out in the middle of nowhere and is constantly breaking attendance records meanwhile great adventure is in the middle of philly and nyc and is dead on a saturday in july
I’m going there tomorrow I think
Not anymore 😭😭😭😭😭 long live the king 👑
Wait top thrill dragster 2 is still closed then why are people riding it
I'm just puzzled as to why a demolition permit was not immediately filed for Kingda Ka. So many people are taking Six Flags at their word, but I've learned through the years that you can't quite do that. I posted on a couple of other sites about a rumor I saw online from a random online poster that I saw earlier in the year. According to the rumor, Cedar Fair had originally sought Intamin for the reimagination of Top Thrill Drogster, but the Intamin proposal called for extending the layout and the removal of Iron Dragon. And also according to the rumor, Cedar Fair turned Intamin down because they didn't want to remove Iron Dragon. But at SFGADV we have adjacent rides before removed from Kingda Ka that would open up ample space for a similar proposal to the rumored Intamin Proposal for TTD. Also, there is a chance that Zamperla has already solved all the issues with TT2 and just hasn't implemented them yet, so I suppose it is possible they may be involved with a a KK reimagination as well. At this point, nobody knows what they have up their sleeves, nor can we really take them at their word that a ride is going to be demolished. I'm looking forward to seeing what form of ride ends up operating in the original KK's spot though.
the most likely reason why there isn’t a demolition permit yet is because it’s a much different process than smaller structures like green lantern, parachutes and twister. getting demolition permits for structures over 350 feet is usually much harder and a much longer process. the regulations are more strict
that looks absolutely terrifying. would ride 👌
Canadas Wonderland is absolutely beautiful!
Elite
Ohio is home to not 1 but 2 giga coasters! The other is Millennium Force at Cedar Point! I haven't riden Orion yet. Just MF.
Agreed!
This looks very questionable, as the opening slow roll managed to have no forces at all somehow while the similar hangtime on the loop goes to -1 when it's, well, hangtime not floater/ejector?
It is a ride you need to ride to understand why it is an awesome little coaster.
I've been on it. I'm questioning the displayed forces, not the ride
the time is still 0 at the start of the roll. it only starts recording the forces after the first launch
you seem like an idiot
@@AnubisMaroexactly this guy is a moron
Haven't done Leviathan, but of the four I've ridden: 1. Intimidator/Project 305/Pantherian 2. Fury 325 3. Millennium Force 4. Orion
It’s cheeks 😢
I went there but half of the stuff was closed so we are gonna go another time
The forces on this coaster are really solid.
I’m suprised by the airtime on some of those snaps
I have also been on all 5 and would rank them a little differently. 5. Orion 4. Leviathan 3. Millennium Force 2. Fury 325 1. Project 305 I go back and forth on Fury and P305 - they're both S-tier for me. I ultimately settled on P305 as my #1 giga because it's more special - it's one of only a couple coasters I've encountered that's genuinely too intense for the majority of the public, but in a good way. We need to cherish it while it lasts. P305 will probably be scrapped at the end of it's service life (within our lifetimes) and spoken about in hushed tones like the Harry Traver Cyclone(s) after. Fury will probably outlive all of us - as long as Carowinds and B&M both exist to continue to operate, maintain, and provide parts for it. I think it's one of a handful of coasters so iconic and popular that it will probably get the Hulk / Nemesis treatment when the track reaches it's service life. Where I really disagree is your ranking of Millennium Force - along with the explanation - kind of "get out of the way OLD MAN". Insulting. If it's your preference for rides to have more aggressive pacing, stronger g-forces, and ejector airtime, I can see those arguments - though that's largely judging Mille for what it isn't. With the possible exception of Formula Rosa (haven't been, probably never will), there's not another steel coaster that holds it's speed over such a long duration like Millennium Force - especially not with such comfortable and exposed seating. Along with the location, and presentation, that's what really makes Millennium Force special - it's a grand tourer. It's still my "gold standard" coaster for defining my "A+" tier - so it's still hanging around the edge of my top 10 after all these years. It's a "the complete package is more than the sum of it's parts" ride. The B&Ms don't hold their speed the same way because the train design results in more drag. And the experience for the inner 2 riders (except for front row) is way less exposed. Fury's layout. location, and presentation really cannot be denied though - it's a ride that really grew on me with repeat rides. Orion is a great coaster, but I think it's kind of a bad giga (with how it's located in the park, and some baffling layout decisions in my view). I actually found Leviathan to be a bit more graceful (read less forceful) than Orion, but found it to be a lot more fun and the way it's located at the gate and presented in the park both feel like prototypes for Fury in particular. Great coaster - also a great GIGA. Leviathan also has maybe the longest single moment of airtime in the world - that camelback is over 5 seconds of floater by my count.
I went on the diamond back and it was 100% worth the wait
That ride was awesome... now I gotta conquer the Drop Tower at Kings Island...
One- thank you for praising this ride so much, I feel like this doesn't get as much praise as it deserves. Second- I agree it's one of the best hypers, but for me it's Diamondback and Mako, then this. Behemoth was trimming pretty hard when I rode it which caused me to not like it as much as others, but can still see why people like it. My personal top 5 hypers are in order from best to worst, Diamondback, Mako, this, Nitro and Behemoth. Also rode this at night with the trims barely hitting and it was flying, like too fast. Night rides on this beast is insane especially when the PLC doesn't realize the trains are going too fast. Rode it back to back one time and the MCBR trimmed harder on my second time around, meaning it figured out the trains were going too fast.
They got the 3rd train going mid way thru the season and the teal train is running better than it has since I can remember.
raging bull backrow gives you one of the best drops in the country
On the exit of the wave turn, ive always gotten a good pop of floater, but i guess it depends if the trim on the big airtime hill before hand dosent hit as much
I've been on both Behemoth and Raging Bull and I can't even remember what I really liked about Behemoth but I think about how much fun Raging Bull is every year lol. so much airtime.
Huh odd you’d take behemoth over this. I’ve done both behemoth and bull and I can say that bull is far better in my opinion
honestly behemoth was better for me. in the day i went to cw the trims didn’t hit at all so the train was FLYING
I am glad to have my home park be Carowinds
What a beautiful site 😮
Take us there!! 😮
Winged coasters are the best of both worlds: nothing above you, nothing below you. I've only ridden Gatekeeper, and ever since I've been hungry for that feeling.
I know where you’re at. You’re at Carowinds. I’ve been to that place many times.
Great vlog!
You got a very fast ride on it, I’m assuming the trims were off
I think you will like La Ronde's Goliath more than this coaster.
lol 😂
Short ride but so fun! Gotta say I'm a front row Goliath fan but back row is also terrific.
This has become my favorite ride at the park ever since raging bull got really bumpy. Too bad about the length; an extra 1000 feet would put it over the top, but GA has felt short of space for years now, so I won’t complain. Still beeline for this one whenever I visit.
X flight is excellent if you’re not an incorrigible adrenaline junkie. 9/10. Otherwise, it’s a solid 7. I still prefer Superman for a similar but more intense experience. I’d echo the other person that the restraints never felt uncomfortable for me.
Love the ride. Wish it was longer, but what you get is non-stop, which is what I love about it. Probably my favorite in the park along-side Raging Bull. Sort of depends on the day which one I like better. Wish we could get an RMC American Eagle for a bigger, longer lay-out.
It's a solid ride, but Thunderbird at Holiday World is a much better wing-coaster. I've heard many complain about the vest restraints...I've personally never had an issue with them.
can i get a pin because i subbed and i am first
Why RIP? And isn’t it just a clone of Shiekra at BGT?
Talon looks like it would be a lot of fun at night.
