Volkswagen bug slow starting problem fixed

When the starter bushing that goes into the block of the motor wears out your starter won't turn over fast enough to start the motor I found this to be true on my 68 Volkswagen bug put the new bushing in after getting the old one out starts up first time and quickly!

Hub cab covers hide leaking hub seals. That dangerous on an 80k# rig. Lug nut covers hold water and winter salt, and rust the nuts.
My question is, how do the adapters affect the GVWR? The Alcoa wheels should carry a higher ply tire with a higher load rating BUT are the adapters a weak link like offset spacers.

No problem man I’m at 60,000 miles on these tires and they’re not even at half tread as of right now Highly recommend although I’ve heard the quality of the brand I went with has gone downhill since I purchased these ones, just make sure you look at the reviews when purchasing

You have a lift kit on there to clear ?
You can clear them with just a leveling kit and I’ve heard you can do it with it stock. You just have to trim some of the plastic but I have a 4 1/2 inch lift kit from zone.

I’ve got about 40,000 miles on the set up now. No issues tires are still more than half-life toes like a dream with 410 gears 373 and you’d probably drop off on fuel mileage.

I’m about to go with a 22.5 conversion on my 2022 3500 just for the ability to rotate tires. Also, my truck has balancing beads in the steering tires for sure, not sure about the drive tires. Good looking truck!

What pressure are you running at. I did this swap and they are riding much ruffer than the recaps thatbwere on the rims i bought. Cant seem to find thier happy psi. Thanks Nate.
Depending what brand you go with some are held to a higher standard than others but I run mine at max psi for the best fuel economy so 130 psi and have no issues. I do have one wheel that is very unbalanced so I always run that one in the back though.

It sure does. I just bought a 2022 I everything’s the exact same except for this one has the small fender flares that come OEM on the Laramie versus my old one that didn’t so I’m getting 2 inch offset wheel adapters instead of 1.5 in the front so that the tires stick out quarter inch in the rear I’m still running the 1.5 inch.

From what I’ve heard you can run these rims and tires stock with just a 2 inch leveling kit, but I have a 4 inch lift in the front and 2 inch blocks in the rear

What about factory tire psi sensors? They work with the 22.5?
I’ve never had good luck with them. There might be an adapter kit somewhere out there, but I just threw all of mine in a 4 inch piece of pipe with caps on each end and a air chuck. Air up to 90 psi so I don’t get the consul freaking out at me. And put the pipe in those hidden compartments under the back floor mat

19.5 you have a wider range of tire size selection with 22.5’s smallest you’re gonna be able to go is 37 which works out perfect if you have 4.10 gears. And they do look super slick
