If you drop your backpack and make sure you're not overweight you can crouch walk off onto the higher ledge and usually not break anything.

Some advice; Ik you're likely just starting out, you should go for artifacts. Artifacts are a condition you can put on before starting a run that change how the game is played. The way to get them is to get to a stage called the "Sky Meadow". It's the fifth stage you go to. Where you want to go is a floating island on the bottom of the map. There will be an area where there is a computer and 9 cylindrical slots in front of said computer. If you go up to the slots, you can interact with them, then a shape will appear above. There are 4 shapes to choose from. Square, Triangle, Diamond, and Sphere. The two artifacts that'll help you get stronger and farther are The Artifact of Sacrifice and The Artifact of Command. Sacrifice makes the enemies drop items but removes chests. This does remove the purpose of coins. Command allows you to choose items. The codes for them are; (The codes will go from the first row to the third. The first being the row closest to the computer, the third being the farthest) Command: 1.■ ■ ■ 2.■ ■ ■ 3.▲▲▲ Sacrifice: 1.▲▲▲ 2. ▲▲▲ 3. ▲ ♦ ▲ You do not need these on to make progress. If you don't want these on, just make sure that the specific artifacts that you want off are greyed out. Hope this reaches you well and have a great time playing. Have a good one!!
