On a lovely Sunday day, my friends and I went out to Glendale Station to railfan and let’s just say we saw a locomotive that shocked us all on ZLCLT-13 we saw Canadian Pacific AC4400CWM 8029 trailing 3rd and afterwards we saw SCAX 852. @@marderdax it never uses the AV Line it uses another route to get to a destination and it went on Via Airport and yes it was late cus one of the locomotives was having some problems

What time did the two freight trains arrive?
How many freights use the Saugus line per day? Is it only one stack train each way?
Did it not come at lunchtime or did you get it out by radio? During my vacation in Burbank I would have liked to have seen it in the direction of Santa clarita with a picture and the right position of the sun

I have a question. Since Metrolink owns the tracks on the AV line, can't they ask UPRR to use their tracks overnight for their freight when passenger trains are not running? One of the main obstacle that Metrolink cannot run frequent service is the freight trains. UPRR also has the Cajon Pass and Mojave division as an alternative route bypassing the AV line. I am not against freight trains but I think we can agree we need more frequent commuter train service.

It's Under Contract UPRR has Track Rights After Buying SP In 1996 the Contract with SP Was Created in 1992 when SP Sold It To Metrolink.

Thanks for asking. I may not give a tutorial since this was a very long work after 30 days and more. It was a challenging project. But, it was worth it until the end. :)

@transitnthings I will estimate the size of the cardboard bus is about 1 foot 1 to 2 inches wide, referring the side structure. The question you asked about how many. To build the bus exterior I'd say more than 5 cardboard pieces. For interior say 2 to 4 rectangle pieces of cardboard to use parts for seats, pilot structure, windows. It just my estimation.
