Akumal walk around
We went for a walk around Akumal Playa Mexico. We rode the colectivo (public bus) from the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort to Akumal. We walked down from the highway and visited the small shops in the area. We then paid a $400 peso deposit each to access the beach in the Lol Ha restaurant area. Our walk on the beach was cut short by a light rain shower. Back at the Lol Ha restaurant on Akumal Play, we used the $400 peso deposit toward lunch. Fish tacos, beers and view were great.

We take the colectivo bus from the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort to the beach at Akumal. We walk through the main entrance of the Barcelo, cross the busy highway and wait for a colectivo. Soon a colectivo stops, we get one and tell the driver "Akumal". Along the way he shouts out other intermediate stops until we get to Akumal. We pay 30 pesos each, exit the bus and use the pedestrian bridge to cro...

Other people cross the highway to walk to the cenotes. I cross the highway and walk to the highway entrance of the cenotes and discuss entrance fees with people there.

Wilcox Pass Trail in Jasper National Park

I really enjoyed hiking the Wilcox Pass Trail in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. This 8 km round trip, is 4 km and back. The first 4 km is mostly uphill but with majestic views of the Athabasca Glacier and area. This is a popular trail but not overcrowded. It was the beginning of July in the Canadian Rockies but there was still remnants of snow everywhere.

Majestic views of the Athabasca Glacier along the Wilcox Pass Trail hike. This 8 km round trip hike is mostly up hill, with steep sections for the first 4 km, then return on the same path. After the first 1 km, the trees spread out and provide views. The higher you go, the less trees until you are on the alpine with no trees. When I was there, the mountain flowers were just starting to blossom.

Nancy Green is the biggest bit<h on the mountain. She's rude to guests and is drunk most of the time. Really loves to tell anyone who will listen to her how great she is. She's nothing more than a old washed up bag. She's the #1 reason why me and my ski group of 15 won't return there.

700 views but no comments ...thats sad ...just not enough interest for E-riders in michigan...i spent alot of time on the rail trails of the west side...and dont see many E-rollers ...today is 10/7/2024...im seeing roads and bridges being reconstructed for E-trails ...i now have more paved trails in my area than one could see in a summer....they are giving away $1000 treasure hunts every month to get ppl on these trails...they are spending lots of money making them to bring revenue and life to the little rail trail towns.....lets do our part to support them ...see yall on the trails of michigan..

I'm looking to get my first E-Bike by around springtime. I love this trail, and my distance record is 40 Miles round trip on my mountain bike. I was doing the Howard's Friend Bike Ride last year (2024) when I made that record. 20 Miles from Midland to Coleman and back to Midland. I'm a heavy rider... 290 Lb, although I definitely don't look like I'd be that heavy. Anyways, I hope an E-Bike can get me that extra 10 Miles to Clare this year or next. I always struggle on my way back to Midland. Last time, on the Howard's Friend ride, it took me around 3 or 4 hours to make the return 20 Miles. I almost called their recovery van. I wish to avoid that this next time, though, by getting myself an E-Bike.

Hey. Perhaps people are on a travel budget and cant afford 2,3, and 4 thousand a week in a resort per person. Extorsion for tips and gifts???? I have been to this resort this past May and May 2023, Its not a fancy resort but the rooms are clean, the buffet has enough of a variety that you won't go hungry, the service is good and the beach is stunning. The people at this resort work hard and are very pleasant despite the shortages that they are facing these days. The tips are most welcome but no one ever expected tips.

@@nickstojanovic8868 I’ve been to this resort before, more than once. But after going to Mexico, I’ll never go back to Cuba again. Not everything in Mexico costs 3-4 thousand. If you look carefully, you can find deals for a thousand, sometimes even less. The service is much better, and the people are much nicer. In Cuba, I lived through the Soviet Union, and I know exactly what that’s like. I don’t want to step into that mess a second time.

The largest collection of healthy elm trees to be found anywhere in North America is in Edmonton. The city has more than 65,000 elm trees, but constant maintenance and a constant watch for any sign of Dutch Elm disease is essential. If Edmonton's growing season was longer, these trees would be much larger, but the city's relative isolation and harsher climate may be a blessing in disguise, offering the elms some protection in the virulent disease that has killed so many trees in Winnipeg and in many American cities.

I assembled one like this - 4'X8' - years ago. One of the best multi-use things I ever owned!!! I had a Subaru Legacy 4-door with a ball hitch installed - with the trailer attached, I had my own little quarter ton pickup! I used it for EVERYTHING - I hauled rocks, lumber, dirt, leaves (I once had it loaded with over 900lbs of leaves!!), mowers, furniture.....you name it. It was light enough to hitch behind my riding mower, easy to push around, and I could put any combination of sideboards I needed. Many happy years of hauling!!😀👍
