Warning - Do Not Buy Any Telluride! We purchased a new Midnight Blue 2023 Kia Telluride EX-Line on May 6, 2023. This is our first Kia vehicle, chosen after test driving and comparing all similar make and model SUV’s. We have bought many new cars over our 52 years of marriage, raising our family and beyond, including RV’s. Not one has had a fatal flaw that put our lives in danger, until now. In a thunderstorm on 7/21/24, towing our new trailer through Durango, CO eastbound on State Hwy 160, this Telluride completely shut off without warning, placing my wife, small dog and me in emergency danger, stranding us 360 miles away from our Williams, AZ home. It has been unusable and stuck in Durango since that day at the Kia Dealership, Durango Motor Company. All of our 2024 Summer travel trailer trips evaporated in that moment. They have informed me that Kia’s “Advanced Tech/Engineering” has been engaged, but to date there is no solution, nor is there an estimated date for a solution. This is an unacceptable defect for any brand-new vehicle. It is an unsafe, unreliable vehicle, that even if eventually “fixed” should not be put back on the road by anyone. It’s value will never be stored. We cannot ever trust this vehicle again. Under AZ law it is "lemon" after 30 days and we formally asked them on 8/21 to buy it back and reimburse us for the expenses forced by this fatally flawed vehicle. The right thing to do is for Kia to buy it back from us, find the root cause and engineer a permanent solution to prevent it from happening to any future Kia vehicles. I contacted Kia “Customer Care” for their help, but they have done nothing but be disingenuous, deflective, dismissive and delay any action. I also contacted the GM at Ken Garff Kia in Phoenix, AZ, from whom it was purchased, and they have ignored me. So much for the Ken Garff motto “We Hear You.” We are 70-year-old seniors on fixed and retirement income. We have been without our primary vehicle for over 53 days, incurring increasing costs every day. With no help from Kia and no resolution in sight, we’ve had to pay for a hotel stay, a rental car, towing charges, and storage charges. Looks nice and clean but some thing wrong with front. Actually, front should have bumper then grill but here grill is hanging out without bumper. Bad design someone should make responsible who design this car front because company is dependent its sale on its look. And back side is too aggressive as finish straight or flat. Should be bumper little bit out side like one feet then top portion have slop.

Can we stop the nonsense already, the redesign of the front and rear end is a total miss. Should have left that alone. One thing they should have done I mean how hard is it to hide the rear wiper under the rear brake light and make the area look really clean. No hybrid or Ev model yet? Also, would have liked to see electric tilting and telescopic steering wheel and a beefer arm rests for the rear caption chairs. Since there is no nightfall edition, I wonder how many customers will be doing a blackout of the chrome pieces. Can we add exhaust tips to the driver side please. I thought about trading in my 2021 sx-p nightfall for a 2023 model but after seeing what they did to the front and rear end, I think I will keep mine. Everything else that were redesigned were what customers were asking for, so I guess Kia listened. It will be interesting to see how the 2023 model sells compared to other years.

This would be near perfect if only they put the exhaust tips on both side of the vehicle.
