Just watched the 2019 version of "Cats" on you tube, which had Judi Dench in it. Loved it and had to own it! Ms. Dench was awesome as usual, her work did not disappoint. A most creative and incredible film. If Her name is on it, I will watch it. I'm so very impressed with her work and her choice of films to be in. I believe most performers, in acting ,will gravitate to those roles that the actor/actress, possesses enately. Structure, ( emotional structure) within themselves. This doesn't mean they are this way in real everyday life, but are familiar with the role and the presence of the feelings needed to perform it.

My late Mum had the same eye confition (AMD) as Dame Judi Dench, so I can understand her difficulties in learning new lines which need to be read to her, instead of by her now, and such dedication to her career and chosen charity support only proves what a wonderful attitude she has maintained throughout her life is so admirable. My Mum, with her other illnesses (congestive heart failure and pulmonary oedema - which I also have) plus extreme deafness, isolated her from societal inclusion, (cared for by me, then by my daughter - who is now my carer too), Mum hadnt an acting careef to help keep her going, instead, after a long life with varioys occupations, she finally retired from bring a BT / Crown Estates telephonist at the age of 65, after being asked to "pleasd will you stay on for another 5 years?", when she was 60 and intenfing to retire to continue tp look after her husband through his strokes, fulltime. Mum suffered a sefues of yeart sttacks and strokes, eventually a brain bleed had her recovery including living with her eldest daughter (my half-sister) away from ger SE.London home where she had lived alone after her husband died at Christmas 1980. In mid-September 2015, Mum moved to live just outside of the Kent seaside town of Whitstable, and in early October 2015, Mum developed pneumonia which failed to respond to antibiotics which led to her death on 11th October 2015, aged 98 years + 7 months. Hopefully, Dame Judi Dench has still more years ahead of her, possibly aided by her continuing activities in her charity work and when ger time eventually comes, apart from being very much missed by her fans of her acting, her family, friends and connections, also her many and various charities will equally mourn her passing. May Dame Judi continue to enjoy life, despite her AMD (age-related macular degegeneration) & that her ultimate retirement from acting will not lead to depression, which can affect many of us following such changes in our normal routine. Thankyou Dame Judi Dench for your inspirational career, caring attitude and general and specific kindnesses to so many. 'Peace and Long Life'. 🖖
