Lansbury IS Mrs Lovett. Though I like Lupone’s sinister edge to the character, for me her performance is Patti Lupone singing “The worst pies in London”, not Mrs Lovett. Lansbury is able to add the charm and quirkiness to the character, and that is a constant throughout the show, she is genuinely shocked and excited to see “a customer.” Bonham Carter on the other hand is lifeless, and Lovett isn’t even dead at this point.

Definitely Lupone. Lansbury went cartoony with her performance and lacked any sinister edge, and Bonham Carter was just lifeless, much like Depp.

I'm s big fan of the British royals but I'm starting to get more interested in the Danish Royals because I love Mary and Frederik they are truly a loving couple and I also love the Swedish Royals as well. Princess Madeline is to cute and more down to earth.

i definitely think Lansbury's performance is the best. Patti Lupone overplays way to much and just doesn't seem funny to me, and Helena kind of does the Kristen Stewart and seems like she wants to be somewhere else the entire movie except by the sea but that's a bout it that she does. Angela Lansbury has the best performance because she brings energy to the role but not to much like Patti, and she very comical and is easy to attach to with her mother like caring charm.

personally i can't stand Patti Lupone's accent or voice in and no matter how many times i hear her sing this song or any other from this particular musical i just find it absolutely cringe worthy. it grates on my nerves. i love Angela Lansbury and Helena Bonham Carter both and i enjoy the different versions pretty equally. i don't think i could pick, really. i wish i could say i love all three or that it'd grown on me but alas..
