Most Of The Remixes... by Soulwax. (For some reason the song chopped itself at the end :/)
❤
Robin’s songs just really speak to me. Like he recognizes the beauty and love we all deserve
Hot stuff !
This comment section is evidence of the "contagious poet" theory, where inspirational words can make the listener believe they are also really good at words, even though, trust me, you're not. Great music, shit audience

this song loud in my car singing from the top of my lungs, the best :D
My senior year of high school, I was in an AP English Composition class. We had very unique projects for each book that we read (examples: write an extra chapter of the book, paint something that symbolizes the book's themes, make a playlist for the book and explain your choices, etc.) Super fun stuff! I'd forgotten a project for Frankenstein was due on Monday morning and I remembered that Sunday night. My project was to find a theme song for the book and explicitly explain why that song fit. For some reason, I thought of this song and I was able to make every line connect to the book using literary dichotomies and such. My teacher was so convinced I got a perfect score. I can never hear this song without thinking of Frankenstein's monster being rejected by his "father" and taking revenge ❤️
I listen to rap and hip hop majority of the time, but I watched a show called Mushishi that I found "The Sore Feet Song" from the intro and this song was in a playlist with it. I've come back to this multiple times and can't figure out what's so perfect about it. Any recommendations similar or what genre this is please enlighten me.
iirc they’re a type of folk music as for recommendations, the entire fleet foxes discography. Works pretty much every time
That last section gives me chills everytime. Even made me tear up on the first listen

Possibly the best remix ever put to vinyl
I love my remixed stuff. But without getting too deep,on a commercial level and a song changing remix I'd say it would have to be heads will roll the a trak remix!

I love this song! It's beautiful and there are so many different ways to interpret its meaning. I wrote about how it relates to death and dying, if anyone's interested: blog.sevenponds.com/expressive-music/the-plainsbitter-dancer-by-fleet-foxes
Hey it's 5 min 55 sec
Literally asking out of curiosity... whoever reads this. Who remixes/edits with the same attention to detail currently?
Many of us.
No one. Soulwax are the kings.

Just cus of a couple people worried that it cuts off just.. Mark.cut.n que, mark cut 5:53 & 5:16 to MGMT Soulwax mark.cut 1:03. (1:09&1:12 with equipment) But this is the better quality version on here So with edits ...and blends into other que tempo it solves its self ...and starts a whole new long vibe no prob. N thanks for uploading it.
at first I was like wtf is he saying then I got it :)
This song reminds me of something really important that I've lost, yet don't know what it was.
Maybe your keys
Dude... damn
I know what you mean. There’s this one song that whenever I hear it, everything turns yellow and I vaguely remember a town that I don’t recognize, but it’s really familiar. Unless you were being meta lol
Honey you forgot the baby in the oven again

really amazing how he gets all the harmonies to wrap around each other, so beautiful, and then the second half of the song is so adventurous and nostalgic melancholy sound , brilliant album. It gives me the same youthful spirit that an album like Animal Collective's Feels gave me
Vejam Plano Kalergi. Regras para Radicais de Esquerda. Os Protocolos dos Sábios de Sião e ficam espantados
seen fleet foxes twice enchanting musicianship
The start really reminds me of an old train getting close to a station
they are the bards
Gotta be one of my favorites from them. Love this song. Crack up is just as badass as everything else pecknold writes. Fools errand is a SICK music vid directed by robins brother. Absolutely beautiful. Timeless music.
Got tickets to the MPP show in July and saw this wasn't on the setlist. FUCK
they already posted a setlist?
Yara peered out into the horizon beyond the wood. The sun had tinged the land with a dim glow. The night sky prevailed. Stories say souls lay in this wood. So, Yara waited upon a boulder; waiting for some sort of sign. Any moment now and she would be here. Yara called out. Alas, she was answered with silence, again. She’d known all along. In truth, Yara had always doubted. She doubted everything- her reason coming here, the stories her mother used to tell. There was nothing here - no wonder or amazement lay here. This place was mere wood. How could she have been so foolish to believe such childish stories? Save for her, there was no soul here. She leapt from the stone. It was time for Yara to retire to her home. Then, she felt something. The earth below began to stir ever so slightly. Yes, slightly - but she could feel another presence. The wood was stoic yet relaxed, calm and excitable. Yes, she could feel something. A gentle breeze began to play upon her hair, as Yara began to look all around her. The wood was beginning to stir. What was once a soft breeze, was now a cold growing wind. Its song gave way to the dead leaves. Excited, the trees began to sway in time with the song. The paced melody amassed into a roaring crescendo. Nature and beauty seemed to have walked as a seamless entity. Not one thing was left unmoving now. Every bit of dirt, leaf, bramble, and conifer engaged in a wild courted dance. Tree danced with leaf. Leaf flew with earth. Earth soared with stone. Then a sudden deafening silence filled the wood. Everything had lay silent and still now.
wowowooow
yes, i remember this experience. now i live inside it so i can experience it everyday. thanks for making me think others might know of it too.
so awesome
Surrounded by nostalgia, or perhaps moments that never happened.

This song causes me a feeling different nostalgia ... I love this band
this is my favorite band and ive heard alot of bands. i would go crazy if they ever put out another album. hope they get back together.
Huh? I am almost positive they are in the studio right now. Where did you ever hear that they broke up? I mean, they were on hiatus for a while, but Robin did an AMA two months ago and confirmed that a new Fleet Foxes album is in the works -- and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we get it before the year is over. Maybe... Realistically, I'm thinking next spring. But yeah, you have no reason to think you'll never get another Fleet Foxes album. It IS happening, and you WILL hear it. Eventually.
***** :D get excited!
+ck675 I just figured that they were broken up since josh did his solo thing and robin started white antelope.
+Whitestormm i wish i could meet someone in person that likes fleet foxes. everyone i know is pretty lame. if i met a female acoustic guitar player that liked fleet foxes id marry her, no matter how fucked up she was.
Well I"ve got good news!!!
Yassss
great album art... they don't make em this anymore do they
Yeah man 2011 was such a long off forgotten age

Just as the sand made everything round Just as the tar seeps up from the ground Bitter dancer, ever turning So was the day that you came to town You took a room and you settled in Washed off the chalk from your weathered skin Daylight sleeper Bloody reaper You took a room and you settled in I should have known one day you would come All of us walk so blind in the sun Midnight feeder, beggar pleader I should had known one day you would come Tell me again my only son Tell me again what have you done At arm's lengths I will hold you there There At arm's length I will hold you there There
"Atton's Lake"
Hauntingly beautiful.
their harmonies remind me a lot of Crosby, Stills and Nash. I love this band so much.
I cannot for the life of me describe why I love this group so much. I really hope in the future they come back together, there needs to be more fleet foxes :)
As far as I know yes. Rumors are they will get back together eventually but that's yet to be seen.
i think the main singer, Robin went to finish his bachelors degree.. yea, hopefully the band will get back together
they're back at it! Robin's been posting recording snippets on his social media as of late.
they have a new single out!!!! i'm so fucking excited jesus christ aaaaaaaaaaa
yeah I'm super stoked for their new album. I got tickets to see them in Maryland :)
this sings me to sleep every night....
Growing up on the harmonies of CSN, this group fills a musical void. Well done and thanks.
Every time I hear this song I just want run and dance.
yeah, me too! I think about dancing naked around a bonfire in the woods haha
