Hi, the mechanical component is a block file. So you need to explode the block first once you have insert it. To make it into 3D you can switch to 3D Modeling workspace first. There you can use extrude or revolve to make it 3D. Keep in mind, to convert from 2D into 3D, the 2D sketch need to be polyline first. Hope this help

Hi, since the nesting is focused more on sheet metal, there are no unique feature to flip them. However, what you can do here is you can go and edit the part individually. Using "Direct edit" tool, rotate it 180 degrees. when you nest it again, it should be able to nest with correct top side direction.

@@acadsystems direct edit does no effect it. If I turn the part 180degree with direct edit it shows up the same way. At all there seems to kind of analysis as the parts flip if you extrude more negative on one side of the part it flips. It would be absolutely stupid if there is kind of intelligent analysis but noch chance to decide manually which should be on top

If you are using the latest version of Civil 3D 2025, yes, the create corridor pop-up box is slightly different but the features to create corridor from alignment and profile are still the same.
