The reason why I go back to Wacom. Huion customer service is very bad and slow. Their software doesn't work sometimes or after updating my windows. Wacom still has their outstanding quality. So I get back to my Wacom cintiq.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. I would stick to content about the specific things that you are knowledgeable about, such as the programs you use to do digital art within Linux. For example, when she says "there are four things that make up the operating system", and then references the 4 parts of the diagram from wikipedia, that is incorrect. You are misunderstanding the diagram, which intends to show where an operating system fits with respect to those other 3 things (user, applications, hardware). So when she says "the user is part of the operating system, that's you Flynn!", that's wrong. The user talks to the operating system. The operating system talks to the applications, the applications talk to the hardware. That is the what that diagram intends to convey. Not the 4 components of an operating system.

The nervous giggling as she mispronounces things comes off as her not knowing what she's talking about. Probably not the look you're going for. Although maybe it is the look you're going for. That's definitely an angle.

Why did she say "It's parts time!" when they were listing AM5 parts, even though plenty of parts had already been listed? Do AM4 parts not count as real parts?

I've been dealing with some really bad depression and anxiety keeping me from doing the things I love-- like making comics or drawing in general. This video might actually be helpful in giving me some motivation to get back into it. Maybe I'll borrow some methods from you guys and try the palette thing... Mix things up and make it feel fresh. Anyway, thank you both for posting videos like this and just being the great artists you are~ is always so inspiring to see what you've been working on.

Think the chromatic aberration is the game changer. many people don't talk about this. Even if u have high level gamut rgb display but u have chroma. it's pointless

Great side by side review. I think everyone here is about the not being pixelated, hence the 2k rez. I think its a sweet spot for size vs rez. PPI is 188. Versus 16" 1080p being 137 PPI. What sold me on the XP was the Huion has the sparkle screen. That would annoy me to no end. Buttons are subjective, some people use them some people dont. 16/9 vs 16/10 is subjective. Personally I think the 16/10 looks bigger, more room. XP stylus has a better quality. Huion has a better stand. As of writing this, Huion is $415 and XP is $480. Huion is cheaper. I would have bought the Huion if not for those sparkles. 16k pen sensitivity I think has plateaued. From what ive read, 2000 is all thats necessary and 4000 is more than sufficient. Some people say they can tell, some say otherwise. Overall great review and ONLY review I could find comparing these two in particular. Thank you.

The stand for the Huion is clunky but its still thick 1/8yh aluminum sheet so its solid. The Huion cables come with an option for a desktop PC with HDMI. The Huion does not appear to have the rear eraser button on the pen. How does the XP-Pen get power? The Huion has a 2 USBC connection, but in the video the XP-Pen only appears to have one USB that does not appear to show a power connection.

Great review comparison. I was a strong lean toward the Huion, having owned one previously, but I went ahead and ordered the XP-Pen, but my main question, which you kinda touched on regarding the Huion but not the XP, is whether the brightness is sufficient. I suppose with the XP having a higher listed brightness it must be fine since you said the Huion was fine, but was curious. The hardest thing for me when it comes to using pen displays is how much dimmer they are than what I'm used to with a 500 nit monitor and 600 nit iPad Pro.

I can't even begin to say how valuable this comparison has been. I've watched dozens and dozens of recommendations and reviews. I appreciate them all but the way you guys compared these side by side on every aspect, as well as describing & showing the usage, gave me a much stronger idea of what its actually like to use them. I've been agonizing over this gift purchase for an artist loved one for almost a year now. This made things so much clearer on aspects that will matter most for their use. Thanks so much!

Thanks for this, I was thinking of Buying Clip Studio and your video made my mind up. I am taking a personal U Turn on the past 40+ years, I come from a backgrond of VFX, mainly 3D, bur have heavily relied on Photoshop and I have not been very happy some of the recent updates, and especially with a few bugs that I have known about for well over 30 years that still have not been fixed, plus the subsciption was a killer as I used a lot of their apps, so when you add this to many more subscriptions that we have these days for TV, Shopping Channels, Tutorials, ect, it all mounts up till you are paying out well over £300 for stuff that you do not actually own. I look forward to following you with Krita, I cannot be troubled with the majorly different Affinity Software, It looks good, but I know how Photoshop works and if needs be I can install it from a old CD that I have here, It will do what I need if it comes to it. Going Forward and we now have the M2 I was hoping to find a video on setting up the Kamvas Pro 24 as a second monitor, Have you got this far yet, I am having a lot of hassle getting the Kamvas Pro to work nicely with a second monitor, would be great to see if you have any ideas on this yet.
