Wow, this is so not what we associate with Sweden.
too bad you couldn't sub that noise for an intelligent narration
Good Times!!
Yep, but I am still worried that I caused him to lose control and hit that mailbox as I just had tightened up his r&p steering.
I'm sure those 10 year old tires had nouthing to do with it.😁
What about balancing? I'm sure you're running it by now or have ran, any vibrations w/o balancing? You did a great job on it I must say! dbl thumbs up !!
Thanks! I will hopefully find out in a couple of month as I am still working on the car. I've shorted a number of driveshaft through the years and never had a problem with vibrations, but we'll see...
Kul och se lite fina bilar och inte en massa sönderhoppat junk
I did this swap only I have a 68 coup 428 long tube headers and 4 speed took me about 4 hours.
What room number was it?
I'm sorry but don't remember as it was almost 9 years ago. Never the less a really nice room and hotel that I would recommend.
You spend all week in the shop making your masterpiece and then your girl comes out and give you RBF. Mine is the same way. Meanwhile I’m supposed to be impressed that she painted a yogurt cup and put fake flower in it.
Härlig mångfald av olika åk .
The sleeve u slide in and clip on they also sell that in that website? Thanks before I forget the same size for all 3 pieces
How much would you charge to shorten a driveshaft?
Very hard to say as this is something that's part of my hobby.
Cool bubbla
That Black and White Roadster with the number 32 looks great 46:50
Det var roligt att se hur mycket bilar det finns hos er i dag det är som inte burträsk på 60talet häls. Peter i burträsk osten hjärta wb
Great stuff! Keep up the great work. ❤🏁
Den Svarta pv med ekerfälgar... skitsnygg 👍👍..ja o mycket annat finf förståss
Nä, vad trist! Hoppas det går att fixa?? /Linda
That a half inch drill you're powering it with?
Yes, that's correct.
Hi, what’s the tools name?
I guess you're asking about the level or angle finder that's used in the video. It's a tool named "Inogon" made here in Sweden back in the 1980s and from what I can find not available for sale any longer as it most likely has been replaced by the digital angle finders available today. The main feature of the tool is of course the Moiré pattern used on the fixed and moving parts of the tool that makes it really easy to see from a distance if something is in parallel with something else or if something has the angle you want it to have.
Great content, VERY helpful. The intro and the soundtrack are awful, don't know if that matters.
Very Nicely Done! I particularly liked how you fabricated the foot switch and your use of stainless steel strapping to secure the motor to the (reinforced) frame. Really neat and efficient, thank you for sharing you greatly improved bead roller. Subscribed.
Order accept iron armour helmet i want to buy now

Speed control foot switch? You like that rather than set speed?
Yes, kind of like driving a car, fast when straight, slower around corners.
Which order number is this kit from Borgeson ?
This is the kit we used: stevesmustangparts.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_140&products_id=18693
I know the end result will be first class, but you sure seem to delight in taking the longest way around the problem.
Nice!
Great workmanship. I just finished reading the Car and Driver article on the classic American car culture in Sweden. They were into rockabilly. You're into doo wop. Can't go wrong either way as long as you're in a Mustang.
i run a ranchero club.. world wide we have over 1100 members... members from all over , every european country, africa, australia, south america etc. look us up on fb.
you like north american hot rods. very cool show. we have at least 3 in my city every weekend sunday night cruise has 2 BIG shows with at least a thousands vehicles.NO new stuff has to be 30 years old or older unless it's a factory hot rod (shelby mustang, hellcat, vette ,copo camaro ,ferrari, lambo etc.).certain parts of canada are frozen in ice for 6 months so we have to make up for lost time.the cars here would astonish you.every make model from every country and every period.we have 19 hours of daylight in the middle of summer, so you have lots of time for pics..we have lots of canadian models and makes you won't find in the u.s.
That's sketchy as fuk
The look on her face is like I cant believe you've been out here all week working on this piece of crap tool!!!!
Hello does it work for the 1.3s ?
Unfortunately don't have a clue. My initial intention was to use it on my '67 Ford Mustang which would have required extensive modifications that never happened. Today it's actually the major part of a drill press stand I've made.
Excellent choice of music!
Just beautiful, wishing you both the best
How much of the tube did you actually cut off and did you use the Borgesson steering shaft or do you have a collapsible shaft?
We used the Borgeson shaft that was included in the kit and the length of the shaft pretty much determine how much to cut the column.
I had the old solid shaft system and ordered the Borgesson kit but it didn't include the shaft. I just ordered the shaft and rag joint and wondered how much shaft to leave exposed for the stock wood grain steering wheel to mount to shaft. Knowing that would tell me how much I will need to cut off column tube.
If I remember things correctly we testfitted the steering wheel, column tube and the Borgeson shaft before we decided how much to cut the column tube. One other thing I'd like to share is the bracket I made later to attach the steering column to the firewall, scroll down on this webpage and there's pictures of it: fyi.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=7908
hotrodhocke I saw that. The shaft that comes from Borgesson includes a firewall bracket.
Yes it does but it's more or less useless (unless they've improved it) and that's why I took the time to come up with something that actually works.
Watched this 10times...thanks...looked through McMaster Carr to match up parts. You mind posting about that Clovis and hold down? Plus do u have a part number on the hurst lever? Great work. Thanks! I’m doing this to a 380SL with a SBC and a T5 trans from a firebird..
I live in Sweden and bought the parts locally, the clevis rod ends I used are size M12 which is almost equal to 1/2". This is the closest design I could find at McMaste Carr: www.mcmaster.com/#clevises/=1cyys4g The Hurst lever has "8550" stamped on it and I think this might be it: www.hurstshiftersonline.com/productcart/pc/Hurst-Chrome-8-1-2-in-Long-shifter-stick-Knob-1983-2004-Mustang-T5-p196.htm

I have this same car i bought a couple of months ago...anyone know where the convertible motor switch is so i can take top down...looked everywhere...thanks
It should literally be in front of the center console lol.
If your looking for help or direction this isnt the video for you.. this is no less than a 4 to 8 hr job shown time lapse in a few minutes.. Pretty Much Useless for the DIY guys... Thumbs down all the way
Nice build! We featured in our HomemadeTools.net newsletter: mailchi.mp/buildthreads/vise-stop-hand-turning-rest-router-plate-alignment-tool-342681
Wow thanks!
I'm planning on something very similar. Only my modification will be to to convert to a remote cable shift with dual push-pull control cables. I had come up with a number of designs, but the integration of an adapter to the OEM housing as you have done is very similar to what i had planned to use.
nice.
exelente idea justo pensaba en hacer lo mismo , para mi bombo . saludos de Argentina
EXCELLENT!!!
Автору-респект! Отличная идея. Просто, надёжно, безопасно.
The girl in the video looks super excited to help. LOL. Nice work on this project.
