Since owning this camera, I have loved taking it with me everywhere I go. It's compact, precise, and fantastic image quality are the reasons why this camera is highly sought after. This is my lightweight travel option which never lets me down.

    I assembled mine almost the same as yours. Bolted the wood and tie hooks down through the frame. I used the Lock N Load chock system. I highly recommend it. It came with the retractable tie straps that you mount to trailer floor. The wheel chock itself is mounted on a special mounting plate provided. The plate is mounted to floor and the chock is removable so you can haul other stuff when needed.

    Bought the same trailer to pick up my Suzuki M90. What size bolts did you use for anchoring the wood to the frame? Also, what size for tie down hoops? For mounting the wheel choke in front did you mount to just the wood or frame as well?

      Hey 👋🏼…to be honest, I cannot remember the size. I didn’t cheap out on them either, maybe 1/2” width for the bolts?…I have since sold the trailer, sadly, due to moving to Europe. My wheel chock I mounted to the frame as well, at least on the top (so I had 3 points of contact with frame) 2x being the side tie down loops(also through frame)

    Thanks for the video. I want to ask about the Nisi filter/hood set. How does it fit x100vi? I've read some reviews that there is a gap of 1mm left. Can you confirm that?

    • @motorview40
      @motorview40 6 місяців тому

      The hood fits the filter snug, no gap. If you are referring to where the filter screws onto the front? Then yes there is a gap that you speak of only because the lens design creates this. With the filter, the lens is weather sealed, and the screw on filter fits snug. Hope this helps!

    That wasn't assembly lube, that's a very fine metal/clutch material paste, completely normal, however. If it's chunks, that's when you should be concerned... If you've never dropped the transmission pan, you'll see a lot.

    I'm thinking of doing the same setup. Only my situation is a bit different, I want to put together this type of setup. I'll be driving over 1,500 miles one way empty trailer and pickup a 2011 honda rebel and drive it back another 1,500 miles. Total weight of the rebel is 330 LB. What do you think, will the tires and trailer handle the trip back going around 65-75 mph while towing the bike? I also will be using my 2006 accord for towing it. It's rated to tow 1,000 LB but my total weight going back will be under 600lb. Any recommendations? I'm a little worried for the trailer, I don't want it falling apart towing the rebel. I've heard stories where these trailers fall apart while in motion.

    • @motorview40
      @motorview40 2 роки тому

      Hi Mark, I wouldn’t worry too much about the trailer falling apart, as long as you put it together correctly, and ensure all the bolts are tight. I highly recommend bolting the tie down rings to the frame just like I did. Some say to repack the bearings with better grease than what it came shipped with, might be a good idea. On long trips (1000mi +) my bearings did get warm, but not too hot to the touch. I would be more worried about towing that much weight with the honda than I would be about the trailers integrity. You may be ok, but I’d stray away from steep climbs. Grab a spare tire for it as well if you are worried about a flat on the trip. My trailer handled those speeds just fine, good luck!

  • @Ro6entX
    @Ro6entX 2 роки тому

    I’ve used my HF trailer few times and no regrets for my sportsbike. I still using it as foldable but in few years going to get it permanently down. Just need to do some modification such as maybe some welded side bars or something but time comes I’ll figure it out. I’ve had no real issue other than the wiring. I noted someone said about not being good for highway/long distance traveling due to wheel hub setting on fire, which I suppose will happen if not properly lubbed. I have few videos on my channel on work on the trailer (back in 2020) and it was simply mod. I use winch to get bike up on it; little bit of a hassle but it’s classic case of work smarter than harder.

    If that is a CB750 Custom, I rode one of those for many years from new. It is a very comfortable two-up bike due to the factory seat and low seat height. The rear chrome surround bar for the seat adds confidence to passengers that want to hang on to something other than you. The oil cooler is not needed and is more of a liability if fittings/hoses were to leak. The bike runs cool even two-up with luggage in the CA desert. Enjoy that fine bike!

If you have the gauges (I do) it is not hard but you need to follow the procedure. Even if one is off just a little it will not idle correctly and will not have that wonderful powerband those inline 750 Hondas have. You are going to love that bike. Bearings come packed in grease for shipping not for towing. Make sure you get the junk shipping grease out and repack with quality grease.

      All really, rusted thin metal is never good but if you do that on the trunk lid you will have a mess. I know you may not want a show car but if you do it it should be done right or you will be doing it all again in a few years

      @@motorview40 its your car I just know what its like having the regret later of not doing it right the first time, cause it always costs more I think I would practice your mental work on the floor after all it is the floor, I would get an AMD trunk lid they are the best and then really look into what you will do with that trunk pan that has many holes

    Why not glue in the drain plugs???? Also think I would have welded up some holes and done the patching

    • @motorview40
      @motorview40 3 роки тому

      I planned to silicone or glue them down afterwards, I can also seal them from underneath.

      @waltzaremba9737 3 роки тому

      Listen I am no expert but I have restored 2 cars the plugs go in from the top this way you could have matted right over them. I just feel all welding and cutting needs to be done first so you do not get all that hot mess all over that not cheap dyno mat trust me I know you want to move forward but taking your time and doing things in order is really what counts. When the project is done that is when it will matter
