First Run of PIED PIPER
Переглядів 5814 роки тому
First run of 4" miniature of a Double Crankshaft Compound Burrell Road Loco called PIED PIPER. It was built from a kit from Steam Traction World.
Nice to see him out again. Weather looked excellent. I would suggest you keep a hand on the steering wheel at all times. A small stone is enough to kick the steering right over to lock and you and the engine might go tumbling.
Hi Lynn, yes, you are right. Only sometimes I need a third hand like Zaphod B to close the cylinder drains or firebox door real quick. Will try to follow your advice more closely.
Nice to see Pied Piper out.
Why don’t you do another steam engine video on how you make your fire inside this engine
Hi Dylan, I might follow your suggestions, but frankly spealing there are already several excellent videos on how to prepare and steam a Road Loco as mine, check out Lynn's videos at Highlandsteam. Mine would only be half as good, I'm afraid.
Hi I have and every steam traction engine videos she puts out I watch them and really good
Brilliant, very well done. I very much look forward to seeing it over here having followed the build over the last few years. I know it has taken a massive amount of effort and commitment that most people would never realise...........i mooch around undecided..........but you have done it, and a brilliant small traction engine ( at three quarters of a ton ...its really too big to be called a model) cheers............mike (orkney)
Looking good 👍from a fellow DCC builder. Only on kit 8 so still a lot g way to go!
You will get there, I also started with the first nut and bolt....
First year, first gear! Very good!
Yup, better start slowly and get used to it.
