Is not working for me. When I add a source and select a specific folder, the local files section shows 0 tracks. Additionally, if I turn off downloads or My Music the local files section doesnt pop up.

Actually I found an easier way with your phone only (Android): 1.Go to settings and enable local files in Spotify. 2.Allow photos and videos in the settings of the Spotify app on your phone. 3.Voilà. (Normally, it worked on my Samsung)

FOR ANYONE WHO CANT FIND (LOCAL FILES) IN SPOTIFY SETTINGS- spotify moved the setting for some reason. its now settings and privacy->apps and devices->local audio files!

I can also add that it doesn't work if you are on ethernet cable, and your phone on wifi. You NEED your computer to be wifi connected too! :D

What if I have like 500 songs I want to add, can I add the whole playlist or each song must be done individually.

i did this only on iphone by turning on the ”show local files” in spotify on my phone and downloading a music file in mp3 and it showed up there

hii i have an issue between my computer and phone where i have files i can play on pc but not my phone, i did ask to show local files on my phone app and downloaded the playlist on both my pc and phone. the songs i can't play on phone won't even show up on my local files playlist (the one made automatically by spotify) on my phone, when i have no problem with other files and even one random file from the same artist/download as the ones im having an issue with. what should i try ?
