I also love the way you started your video with a few words about the background. I can see you love your childhood memories and the paintings show you put your love into them. I grew up in Shanghai, and I still have vivid memories of my old neighborhood. The old buildings, busy streets, bicycles, people, and trees are so dear to me. Your video made me nostalgic!

As usual I watched the entire video and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing your work! The original photo is very busy, full of buildings, cars, and people. And the perspective is deep. You demonstrated what to simplify and what to emphasize and how to do that. You painted the trees with a very broad brush, with a few branches and twigs. It is very effective and it leaves a lot to viewer's imagination. On the other hand, you painted the bus and a few cars with a high level of detail and they really stand out. Every time I watch your view, I learn something. Thanks again!

Beautiful water color painting.

I was a water color enthusiast when I was a high school student in the 1950's. Techniques were pretty much the same. We had to wait for the water to dry before applying the next step. So it took a long time to finish a painting. Later I found people using a hair dryer to quicken the drying process. One unwelcome task was stretching the paper before using, requiring a long time. A ritual then was never to use a tube of white color. It was considered un-pure and artificial. Instead we leave the area blank to show the white of the paper.

Wonderful painting showing the uniqueness of water color. Good control of water running vertically. You didn't show how you drew the wires across the alley. With a stick on wet painting or white lines after the painting is dried?

I have noticed the your masterful brushwork is linked to the wayou write Chinese characters in loosely and masterfully. Thank you for showing how you show Tianshui.

我也是水彩画的爱好者。不同色彩在水的晕染下，互相融和渗透，慢慢呈现出令人惊讶的效果。令人深深的着迷。平时作画，我用阿诗比较多。偶尔也用宝虹艺术家级，效果也不错的。但是个人觉得，它跟阿诗比较，还是有一段的距离。你用宝虹学院级的，也能画出漂亮的画，也许将来会试用。
