    I live a far bit south and what I have seen on prices for the mini X’s is between 3-4.5K on the gas models and there has been a couple of diesel models that have been going for over 8K. The mini skids have been gong between 2.5-4k, the attachments are all over the board and most of the time go for more then I think they are worth 🤷‍♂️. One thing that seems to get over looked a lot is how high the extra auction fees and taxes run. Crazy high at times 😵‍💫. Good luck on the next auction 👍

      @sunbear1973 Good thoughts. It's kinda funny how it goes sometimes. I saw some mini grapples in a batch of 3 go for 1200 each. 3 months earlier saw a couple go for 350. I didn't bid on any as I wasn't really in the market. Lol. There's money to be had buying and selling the stuff. Just not really what I want to do. It was definitely a learning auction. Just probably not the right time. Cheers!

  • @natsterlive
    @natsterlive 7 годин тому

    lol My wolverine grapple bucket was 2 grand. Keep this in mind. This stuff is slowing down. The imports are less than 10% of this time last year. Also the tariffs are coming which will put the cost back into reality. The mini excavator will be not usable till they are updated. Min another grand into them before they are useful. Normal not auction price for a 400 size mini skid is around 10 grand, so 2 k for a attachment is normal. I got quoted 14 k for a 300 pound mulcher head from extara. That's crazy.

      @natsterlive OK, Thanks for info. I'll be taking that into consideration on the next round. CRAZY thing was 2 trenchers just like the mini. Same set up everything, except it was for a bigger skid plate. Those 2 went for $800

      @johnellenburg2297 Thanks!!! At that time with the track I was having alignment issues and for whatever reason the tracks liked to be like that. If I had them both forward the one side would slip. Made no sense. I have new Tracks now. Haven't noticed that issue anymore.

    When you get your 2" receiver attachment look into a single ripper tooth that goes into it. Got one with 18" depth of cut for about $60 on Amazon and that will be my budget trenching attachment for running buried electrical. I did get a second one that i will extend to about 40" so i can reach 36" depth if needed.

    I was about to suggest car valve springs then I see acousticrocks beat me. I built a dirt screed and needed springs and remembered a friend used to build race engines so I know they come in different seat pressures. I got a selection of different styles from single spring (like you have), double and triple springs. I doubled them up to increase length. I think your idea of adding 2 more is right on course. I subed so I can see what you are doing with and to this machine. I am on the fence of how bad I want one. Already have a mini ex and a Mahindra 1626 tractor. I can see many times this would save wear and tear on my other machines.

      @normhowes2975 Thanks for the sub!! It just saves in so many ways... tight spots, detailed finishing, still can lift a bit. Versatility is the key, I lift and shovel way less. I hope one finds your way and is as invaluable as mine has been...I'm going to do another pros/cons video. Like a what's next chapter. As I pretty much figured out the machine. Now I'm wanting to take it to the next level. I just bought a stump drill bit and will do a video on that. It's for a excavator so I need it to manufacture it for my skid. Cheers more fun to come!!

    My bucket is 40" wide and not as forward as yours. Your over side bucket is good for snow and maybe sand. I doubt your bucket could handle an over load of dirt like mine can........ @TheJBros520 The 10" fan is made in Australia and, of course, made for automobiles. It has 6 blades with a better pitch. I held my hand behind the stick swirly blade looking fan that came with my chine and the only air I could feel came out the outsides of the fan. After installing the new fan (approx. $60) I held my hand behind it and it was pulling like a hurricane from any area of the fan. I've had no problem with my CHINA battery so far..... what a world of difference in cooling. I hear people talk about reversing the fan to blow upwards and I would never do this as all the engine heat would go towards the hydraulic radiator. The Part # 0147 ( 10" Slimline Fan -12V is made by Davies,Craig. It also carries a 2 year warranty. Mounting feet included and bolted right up to my mounts even using the stock fan hardware. I believe all of out machines use the 10" fans. It was a gamble and it paid off. NOT perfect but a lot better than that stock fan.......CFM> 696/ AMPS>7.0/ WEIGHT 2.5 lbs. www.daviescraig.com.au

    Brother, you are now in an educational role with these videos. So having said that, we need to start using better terminology. Pumps are a ( 3 Stack pump) not a 3 stage pump. 3 stage pump would also be 3 pumps stacked, but only a single suction and a single discharge. Commonly used in things like log splitters. Undercarriage, Your CRT uses A2 front and rear idlers. It also uses A2 rollers. A LRT, KTT all use A1 idlers and the same A2 rollers. The weak, single rear idler you spoke of is a small diameter A1 roller, used in a rear idler role. Now for a con you haven't had yet. Parts. The unique front and rear A2 idlers are not available anywhere. No other unit uses them. The good thing is they can be built up with a welder and turned back to speck by a machine shop. Heat, you start trenching, or stump grinding, that unit will over heat in 15 min on a hot day. As a rule, hydraulics need a reservoir the size of one min of flow. By that spec, we should be running a 12 gal reservoir, not the 5 gallon all the 23 hp AGT mini skids have. Thats why the hydraulics heat up so fast. Thx for the video

    I'd love to convert my LRT23 over to the same stick arrangement you have, or at least something like the Toro's which have a pair of fwd/bwd levers on the left for tracks, and a joystick on the right for the bucket & boom. Biggest thing I don't like about the dual joysticks is how easily you can nudge the controls left or right. Accidently dump a load or mess up your dig angle when leveling. Also if pulling something off a trailer with forks, you really don't want to tip a load, especially an expensive top heavy item like a $3000 compressor.

    Try valve springs. Also check the pins. I'm 260 lbs and I started to notice that I was starting to slide off the plate. At first I thought it was just slippery so I scrapped the ice off and I was still sliding. The pins were bending hard and one was just about to break. Imagine what a surprise it would be to be flying backwards and the plate fall down. I replaced with bolts for now and they seem to be holding up but I plan to drill out and replace with bigger pins.

      @acousticrocks7542 Cool!! I'll look into that!!! Appreciate the perspective on size. I might just purchase the heavy duty springs and see there like $30/each. Right on of beefing up the bolts!! Good catch!! You got my curiosity up, on possible tweaks. Cheers.

  • @natsterlive
    @natsterlive 15 днів тому

    Needs steel cups on the body side maybe. That way you can add washers for adjustment and it will keep them from deflecting sideways. Springs need containment.

      Hey bud! Them rubber boot things worked great, I'll drop a quick video later today. Pretty interesting how it came together. I need probably 2 more springs to get the desired ride for my weight or stronger springs, I believe. Cheers!

    Add a small section of horse stall mat to the yellow plate. You have 2 holes already to connect it to right above where the springs are. It will protect the spring and protect the yellow plate plus give you 1/2 to 3/4 more distance so shouldn't need to replace bolts

    Add stick on rubber pads to bolts and remove shock so it doesn't limit spring travel. If you feel you need something to keep platform in up position a simple chain and hook would get the job done.

Hopefully I can get something out to you in the next couple days. Cheers CONS Easy IMO First step maintenance you need to take to help insure longevity. Swap Fluids early, preventative Check grind Idlers to help longer life in your track Understanding they didn't put the best track on from factory If your going to lift big as I am you need to do weld supports Get a bigger bucket it unlocks mind blowing capabilities ---- Do the welds if you do get a bigger bucket. PROS CRT23 Does everything and more I've asked it to do. Reliability Detailed overviews walking you step by step what to watch for, I didn't have these. It's the one I would buy again in the 3.5k-6k range. Drive pumps are High Platform is great height Ground Clearance under skid is great

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 17 днів тому

      I'd say on initial purchase of the CRT23, I'd say there is a good 8 hours of flaws to them unit to be addressed. Then next issue is how long are you able to make the original track work. But you will get way more life out of the original track if you take care of grinding the idlers which is really 1 hour project. After that it's honestly day to day normal maintenance. Engine itself, if I didn't know better with my battery going low, i was checking my starter. I probably have a total of 4 hours of oil, hydraulic oil, clean the filters etc in 100+ hours. Track a bit different as there was no content for me to learn off of and a newbie to tracks and equipment. Figuring out the tracks and system I do have a fair amount of time. Plus as a guy that wanted people to avoid my issues I tried to get my learning curve out as much as possible to people. If I picked up another new one today. I'd laugh at what little stuff I need to do. They do make 30-40k Mini skids out there to buy as well. I have about 12k into mine with 5 attachments. The chinsese minis aren't without there limitations. I'd take 3-4 of these in my fleet versus 1 Big name. or 1 chinese mini use it how it should be used and comp that with a used 30k used big skid your golden.

    I posted my crt23 damage on facebook. My triangle tube bent. Did yours bend, did you have to bend it back? It seems to affect the curl of the bucket too. Also, did you fit spacers around the pin where the hydraulic mounts to the arm? Mine seems to be turning sideways.

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 17 днів тому

      I bent it back by pushing down on the bucket, you might need to put a 6x6 under your bucket to achieve that if you have original bucket. No spacers added, just the metal strap welded there which I pulled back together with 2 pipe clamps. Let me know if that helps.

    Great season it was. My LRT 23 made me a extra 70 grand this year over previous years doing tree work. Realizing that I'm 40 now and can't hand load all the tree material any more, I bought two more diggit 850 mini skids to upgrade and make sure I always have one. As much as you like that CRT, IMO you would have been better off with a KTT or a LRT. Sadly you got the only model with the super slow pump system and the faulty track system. In the coming year you would do well to sell the slow CRT before the miss led following slows, and upgrade to a 2 pump unit. You would love a diggit 850. Twice the unit of the 400 size CRT. Unlike the issues with the CRT loader and tracks, the diggit 850 has the best track and loader design of any auction china mini. They also have the most lift capacity and lift height, giving 2 feet more lift than a 400 size mini skid. Please keep the videos coming. They help as I look after my little children on these cold winter days.

      @natsterlive 18 днів тому

      @TheJBros520 I bought the LRT at auction for $5800, and both my diggit 850's on market place for $4800 and $3700. One is a yellow 2024 with black arms and one is a 2023 red with black arms. Both units are not the same inside. 2024 uses all soft lines inside, 2023 uses all hard lines. I prefer soft lines. Stay away from diggit 850's that are yellow with yellow arms from 2022. They are a mess inside and don't work right. I feel the same way about my LRT as you do about the CRT. The first skid steer to a man that works hard is a special thing.
