2023 Artic Cat Alterra 600 LTD (3 months ownership)
Hard trail and workday, roughly 3 months after purchase. I have no negatives on this machine. Love the motor, it delivers and throttle response is on point. It is not weak, very lively. I do lots of "off trail" and it's a confident ride. Suspension is very predictable with tons of travel and clearance. A very fun workhorse.

Machine is just barely broke in, but it was time to put in some mild work with it. So far, I really like it and its very suitable for our property as a work horse and fun recreational riding.

    A heads up. When you do a review. The people like most of the conversation about the machine. They don't know you or your neighbors. They do not care about the trees in your yard. They care about an Arctic cat review. So, for 30 minutes I got about 3 minutes of actual material. This kind of stuff upsets people because it's a personal vlog with the ATV as clickbait. Its just tips for the future. I mean no disrespect. Please have a good day.

    I had a 2022 but got rid of it because my wife wanted a SxS. Definitely should have waited for 2023 for the front diff lock. Have you received any recalls yet? Mine had two, the main fuse runs through the headlights, so if the headlight fuse pops, the machine is dead. They just upped the fuse from 20 to 30A. Then I got a notice about the rear suspension arms points cracking. That was a full frame replacement if found. I like the LTD so much I may dive back in if they've fixed these issues moving forward. I also did a cold start video as so many complained about that aspect. ua-cam.com/video/9Q1Sfrw1w4I/v-deo.html

    I just got my 2023 alterra 600 ltd last week.. one thing i haven't heard anyone mention is it starts freewheeling downhill if the throttle isn't applied! Seems very counterintuitive to need to apply throttle and brakes to crawl down a slippery steep trail covered with leaves ( or mud/ snow). My 08 700 arctic cat would creep down a hill in 4x4 low.

      @0to300 Рік тому

      Thank You, yeah if you listen to the ride with headphones you can really tell the response and willingness of the motor. It does have a pleasant thump too.There is lots of throttle blips, many wonder why that is, but most riders know that one can control excessive wheel spin and steering (non) response with timed throttle inputs, especially when its really loose terrain like this fairly steep snowtrail.

      And the mining and logging taking place all over the province is "legal". 7 days a week mining, drilling and tailings pond filling in the alpine with helicopters flying in and out of camp every hour, heli-skiers going up and down every hour all day every day disturbing caribou in the winter is also legal. Haul trucks flying down logging mains every hour, throwing up massive amounts of dust, scaring wildlife, excavators dripping oil and grease all over clearcuts, burying tires in old mines, building enormous dams that flood hundred of square km is legal. Look up "brucejack mine" if you want to see a real travesty. But people being respectful of wildlife and nature, staying on established trails and roads, giving wildlife a wide berth, quietly camping without being noisy isn't legal. Industry can pretty well do whatever they want and disrupt the #### out of the ecosystem, but weekend warriors can't... Ask yourself what if going on here, when tax-paying joe public can't enjoy the wilderness, but connected, lobbying industry basically does whatever they want...

    I remember seeing this video originally on bc4x4. My wife (gf at the time) were planning a fishing trip around this time. We drove up the same route. The water crossing wasnt as bad 3 weeks later. We have lots of cool videos of that trip as well. Ill need to upload some to UA-cam. They were heli logging at the North end up near Statlu lk. We spoke to the pilot as the chopper was refueling. We spent a lot of time at Chehalis before and after the slide. Such a beautyful area .
