Hi friend would you send me bicyle thievs ran and the night of the hunter my birthday on thu if you sure you dont want them be a nice birthday gift lol😅😅😅
Well, you can never go wrong with classics like The Blue Dahlia and In a Lonely Place. I may start doing these weekly shows myself, if only I weren't so freaking lazy.
Congratulations on getting through your project! I still have never seen Wings, which cancels my qualifications as a cinephile. I strongly suggest watching Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? on a 72-hour loop. You'll be amazed at the effect on your life.
Two Lane Blacktop is pretty good. I love Tales of Terror, Tomb of Ligeia, They Live and The Train. I've never seen any Dr. Mabuse films. Are they very good?
I'm not a fan of the Star Trek reboot films either, but as a completist, I felt like I had to own them. How do you decide which movies go into the white sleeves and which ones don't? Or do you plan to eventually have them all in sleeves? Just curious. I've thought about doing this to make more room on the shelves.
@@grey1951 If they’re on the shelf, I see them everyday so I have to really like said film. If I don’t wanna look at it, in the sleeves they go. That’s the main reason.
I liked the first two Paranormal Activity films and bough a few others in the series that I liked less. Eventually, I gave them all away. Prisoners is a good film that's due for a rewatch. You're probably right about The Passion of Joan of Arc being a one watch movie. To be honest, I doubt that I will ever rewatch The Phantom Carriage.
I recently picked up Out of the Furnace for $1.25. Didn't even get through it before consigning it to the give-away pile. I keep avoiding One Upon a Time in America, even though it's been sitting on the shelf for years.
I should do a video like this, as I have a large stack of movies I intend to give away. We disagree regarding The Conversation and Mulholland Drive, which I can rewatch often and still be fascinated by them. We do agree regarding Lawrence of Arabia and The Life Aquatic. I also got rid of The Exorcist a long time ago. Then I called a real exorcist to perform an exorcism for the house to get rid of any Linda Blair spirits that might be floating around. It will be a long time before I sit down to watch Gone With the Wind again.
The films don't change.....but you do. I've found that the older I've got, the less tolerant I've become, and I'm fidgeting in my chair, even with titles I once loved and cherished. Sid and Nancy and The Doors were films I doted on 20/25 years ago. Having revisited them both recently, for one reason and another, they just didn't do it for me anymore, its just the nostalgia factor that compels me to keep them in the collection and the memories they elicit from back in the mid to late 90s. All part of the human condition, I guess :)
Some really good ones here: The Night of the Hunter, Notorious, Nocturnal Animals, Nightcrawlers. I've never seen anything with 'ninja' in the title. What am I missing?
Was that rum & Coke you were drinking??? I love the Boris Karloff movie The Man Who Changed His Mind. I absolutely LOATHE Million Dollar Baby. And I rewatched Metropolis recently and didn't enjoy it as much as previously, which I realize is blasphemy for some people.
Killer Joe wasn't too bad, but I decided not to keep it. King Creole is a good example of Elvis working hard to be an actor in a serious film and doing a good job. Then he started making Fun in Acapulco over and over and making a lot of big bucks for the Colonel.
I liked JFK more the second time I watched it. When I saw it in the theater I kept thinking: "When is this thing going to end?" And I was rolling my eyes at all the conspiracy theories. Now I tend to believe some of those theories, so I appreciate the film more. Jingle All the Way is a good Arnie flick.
I love The Haunted Palace and Harold and Maude. Someone should make a film called Harold and Maude in the Haunted Palace. Do you think I would like the Harry Potter films? I haven't seen any of them.
Hey Sir, Stu here new to the channel omg, when you held up Harry Brown I was jumping up and down lol I love the movie and I was trying to recommend it to someone the other day but for the life of me I couldn't remember the frickin name of that movie LOL
