    Does anyone have, or, can direct me to "140B Repair and Restoration part 3 - Customer 0004"? I would very much appreciate it, thanks.

    8:06 when do you think the new farfisas with the LEDs are coming out? 😉 (this was 12 years ago! Hope things are well)

    Thanks for all the content! It’s been very helpful in my own work restoring my 140B. Question for ya’ll: has that Wurli been painted with a grey-ish textured paint? Mine also has been...wondering if it’s the same one!

    My Mini Compact was doing the same thing, I just replaced the 200uf cap on the preamp board, no more hum and output is strong.

    Is that square silver colored thing on the wall of the housing a selenium bridge rectifier? A lot of people recommend replacing selenium diodes with silicon diodes (along with a series resistor).

    A friend of mine's dad died and left him one of these organs . He lent it to me to try and fix . I've got e erything working on it except the c , C sharp and d keys all the way across the board only produce sound when the highest pitch draw bar is pulled no sound with the other 3. There is some sort of sound on the lowest pitch put its barley audible almost like a growl sound. I wouldn't think it's the sound cards because what are the odds of the exact same thing being wrong with all three cards. Any help would be appreciated:)

    Great sound! I want my model 700 to sound like this! ONE QUESTION---WHERE DO I GET REPLACEMENT DAMPER FELTS WITH THE TALL SPACERS LIKE YOUR 120 HERE HAS? I'd like to get a set! Mine were foam and crumbled to powder, all 53! I just cleaned up the "harp" (reed bar) tonight, using a hand wire brush, and cleaned all the reeds in-situ without changing the tuning, and they are now ALIVE--the little bit of rust they had is gone now, and they ring beautifully! I am excited to get this old gal together again and playing--only those felts are slowing me down! I am going to fabricate my own, with felt pieces and modern poly foam spacers cut out of kid's play blocks made of this foam. This will be a ton of work, so I prefer reproduction replacements. Are they available? Thanks alot! My email is iwantQ7@yahoo.com or just reply to this if you would! Rick Delair!

    Alan Price used a British[of course] Vox Continental-through a Vox AC-30 amplifier--Listen to any early Animals recording 64-66 and listen to-- Worried Life Blues -The House of The Rising sun -I'm so mad--Bright Lights Big City-etc.-The Vox has a warm bluesy sound it depends on who is playing it also---The British Continental has a slightly better sound sounds more exciting--I know -I have them both-UK and US vox organs--

    I've fried too many organs farting around in the back while it's on. Today I screwed up my Wurlitzer 625t's power amp. Someone had installed a parallel fuse clip on repair- that or it was made that way. Anyway, the vibrations from playing made the fuse clip ( shaped like the number 8 with each end sliced off so it looks like two U's, one is clipped on each end of a fuse and it is clipped to the soldered fuse on the PC board), the fuse clips would slide down. ADVICE: ALWAYS UNPLUG, even LOW DC!

  • @yourtubesteak

    Animals, Dave Clark Five, Paul Revere and the Raiders, early Doors, and even the Beatles used this organ, the best sounding combo organ ever made. I am curious as to what kind of amp is being used on this video. Sounds awesome.

    The Electronic Organ Servicing Guide ( Sams 1971) is a 128 page large softbound book that is available at Amazon used. Written by Robert G. Middleton, it's very thorough and has plenty of drawings. It's also far more practical for troubleshooting and repairing than just about any manufactures service info. Your organs schematic and this book can help you fix almost any organ problem. Was recommended by a guy who was shocked when he paid $25 for two old xerox copies of a Thomas organ schematic.

    What about the ceramic resistor? I've had to replace several in a Lowery due to noise, hum etc. I know this an old video. I'm looking for a schematic for a Farfisa FAST 4.

    Hi! I have recently bought a Farfisa Matador 80... It works perfectly except for the volume pedal. As you may know Farfisas Volmue Pedals are optical, they doesnt use pots. I have just disassembled the pedal and I cant find the problem... the light bulb is working perfectly. As far as I can see, as the Photocell receives less light the volume should increase and vice versa. I suspect that the problem comes from either the Photocell, or the organ itself. What do you think??

    By the way, the method I use for determining the number of dead pickups in one pass: measure the resistance of each 3-pair of parallel pickups. 60 Ohms = 3 working, 90 Ohms = 2 working, 180 Ohms = 1 working. That, and tapping the bobbin in front with a screw driver.

  • @crosswick
    @crosswick 16 років тому

    Ouch. Gotta love those white-tape pickups... NOT. I've been making a habit of spraying these white pickup rails with plastic coating, in an attempt to not let them oxidate further. Come to think of it... it would be great if we could just stick a new terminal into the rear end of the pickup, so that it makes contact with only the inner windings of the coil. Which would have to be heated in order to break through the protective coating... Cheers! Steven from EP Service
