Definitely don't try to rush through the story, you'll get burned out easily. But it definitely picks up at the end of ARR (a realm reborn, AKA base game) For now id just recommend doing quests and MSQ stuff. Though if you see any blue quest icons, do them, they unlock stuff like dungeons, systems and raids. Also classes but those are going to be obvious

You were shooting the crystal when it was too far away. 1:30:03 If you know Kratos past then you know why he's saying the lives of men mean nothing to the Gods. He's speaking from experience. And Kratos wasn't born a God technically. Not in Greek mythology at least. He was a demigod so he was mortal at first. So when he says the lives of men mean nothing to the Gods, he's talking about how they used/manipulated him and pretty much everyone else who were mortal. I highly recommend playing or watching the story of the past games. As good as the new games are on their own, its still certain things players miss or don't understand because they didn't play the previous games. 1:37:05 You left too early.
