I could not run this game at 60 FPS because I also use my computer to record the game. I would have been able to record it at 60 FPS if I had a capture card, but I don't. Either way, the game wouldn't be stable at 60 FPS in certain areas, some races would soft-block you because it didn't fully render or loaded the rest of the track, handling is different, and the top speed is lowered a bit. The game wasn't meant to be any higher than 30 FPS. Ghost Games hard-coded the game to be at 30 FPS but even then the game isn't fully optimized because of EA.
Anyway, I wanted to upload this because this NFS game in my opinion looks the best of all of NFS. You could even argue that it looks better than BF games because it uses the same engine and have former employees from DICE and other studios. I did my own shaders with Reshade to make the color pop out or more vibrant, whereas the original was just gray. You could argue that this looks more blue, but I tried my best. I didn't use any of the Initial D songs because I thought they didn't fit since there were barely any drifting and the AIs are dumb. People say the cops are aggressive in this game. Not really, if you remove the shockwave and the electric powerup. They are a joke. If you want to run away from them, just keep driving CLEANLY as in don't hit anything, use gas stations frequently, and you are good to go. If you choose to fight them and stick to one area with a gas station. You are going to get yourself killed.
With this in mind, those who are Battlefield fans and are excited for 2042, hope that 2042 has better graphics than this game. Yes, this game just renders cars and environment and shouldn't be compared to a FPS game, but remember this game is 8 years old, so keep that in mind.
Lastly, I want to talk about the game. The game could have been potentially good, but the game was published by EA so.... Like I said above, the game is unoptimized specifically the PC version. You can't run it any higher than 30 FPS or you will run into issues, and 30 FPS itself has issues too. Even when you have a good graphics card today to run it. The tracks would not be able to finish loading some tracks. For some reason, your computer or game has to slow down to be able to allow the game to finish loading the tracks. The story is stupid, the online world could have been good, the tracks are just point-to-point races just like in Hot Pursuit 2010 which I don't like, and it is pretty lame that some cop cars don't have a racing variant which you would think be in the game.
