Louise! I just came upon this video. You sound fabulous from top to bottom. We met doing a competition or a job and I don’t remember which one but we knew each other for a little while. All best wishes and congratulations.

I am soon to be 66 years old. I am a African American male who always thought I was gifted in operatic signing. Last night and this morning, I listened to Marian Anderson and saw you Mr. Shirley. I want to know once and for all if I have a voice and a gifted voice. I live in Atlanta and would like to attend Morehouse College for piano performance and voice for majors and religious studies I believe as a minor. Regrettably I smoke and succession is the first hurdle. I pray I discover the steps to move forward. Thanks all vocalist in the genre I love whom have come before me. God Bless All.

Wonderful seeing the master at work. I had the pleasure of being the winner of his spiritual competition in 2012 singing "I too" a marvelous piece. I am encouraged to rejoin my passion after watching these young people work on their craft. 12 years later....
