Please also make a video about LUBA EMPIRE!!! Please
I'm a LUBA from DRC Congo and today I've watched one video on Facebook where I heard someone talking my home language because I could hear everything he was saying but surprisingly he said that he was talking KAONDE from Zambia. And that's the reason I've searched on UA-cam about KAONDE people and now I find out from this video that KAONDE people are from LUBA empire 😮... I'm just glad that I find out that about this. So us BALUBA people from Congo 🇨🇩 and KAONDE people from 🇿🇲 are brothers and sisters and WE'RE TALKING THE SAME LANGUAGE ❤
Interesting history, if possible, continue in the next episode from where the video had cut. We need to also about Kaindu and Nyoka, not forgetting other Kaonde chiefs like Mumba, Mumena, etc
The background music is too loud and is a distraction
Nice and rich presentation sir

Check out the first Chief Chaangamaleya or chaanga of the BA WE speaking people from the family of Nakoyo muchindu. (Siavonga in southern) From AD 531 to 1818 when the first sikatongo namely Hadobelo, Moonga, Mweemba and Njame of ng'ombeilede first chosen servants. You will find out that the Chiefdom was active in gwembe district of southern province of Zambia by then, yeat because of the ignorant governor Mr Bon under the British rule who was ingnorant with the traditional and custom suspended the chiefdom following the death of a Chief who was ruling in 1948 in northern Rhodesian rule Please find out in the early history.... This one can be of help thanks for your effort in research ❤ the chiefdom is still present but not acknowledged....
Writers have done missed one point and they have run with everything else. The Tonga had a King, the lineage of Mweemba, Simeja (Cow Horns). There are Tonga war songs and dances. This entails that they had organisational skills and capabilities to assemble an army. You can only do that with a central leader/ruler/government. By the time the Makololos, Lozi and Ndebele came into the picture, Tongaland and its rulers was already on its last legs, Great Zimbabwe was long gone ( there was trade between the two due to proximity and kinship). Swahili traders are known to be the earliest trade partners before the Portuguese arrived in Sofala/Mozambique. The entire region/area went under major changes. A site in Kalomo, "The Kalomo culture" dates back to between 800-1300 AD. Even the Katanga Kingdom had some influence in the Tonga region. Also, i noticed some spellings are wrong. It will make it harder for people to research. Ngombe Ilede, Moonze..... Thanks for the post.
I love learning about my country
this a very lazy video. youre just showing pictures of women instead of showing some map illustrations with arrows of direction to show the areas you're taling about. Do better please
Love history. But you spent 3 min intro. Almost gave up on listening. But loved it.
Remove the background music.
Why are only showing women ???? Laziness
Well researched and presented.
I find this Video completely misses out the Basault Tonga who lived both sides of the Zambezi, and whose culture was destroyed by the building of the Kariba Dam. They were subquently forcibly resettled.l had the privilege to visit with a local Chief, just outside Siavonga Zambia, and have an open invitation to revisit this Chiefdom again. They were up to 1950's primarily fisher people living both sides of the Zambezi. I hope you will research them and provide a new Video!
Thanks a lot for the insights. We will definitely look into it
I'm from chief kapijimpanga. I like this history
@@anniemwale7744 thanks a lot.
Annie Mwale, and you are a Kaonde??? Come on
Thx
Can you share your sources too? Books and all.
Thanks for your comment, we are going to put all these In articles and add all the sources
He should write the book.
The history of the Lambas is straight forward and simple, Lambas migrated from the Luba-lunda kingdom or empire under the great King Mwata Yamva. The lady who was the youngest wife of the great king Mwata Yamva, whose name was Chembo Kasako Chimbala was not happy with the porrigomous marriage, so she run away to come and hide in the land called Ilamba or Lambaland. This is the genesis of the great Lamba people. By 1600 Lambas were trading in copper and ivory to the neoubouring tribes and the Kazembe was the prominent one. This was confirmed by the Portuguese explorer as it appeared on the journal dated 21/09/1798. This can be confirmed by the writing of the most prominent linguistic Professor Dr. Clement M. Doke in his book entitled "The Lamba People of Northern Rhodesia:. That all for now.
Don't mix the lingua franca to Bemba languages
Kazembe was no part of the children of Mukulumpe he was a General of Mwata Yamva Who can denial this?
Mumbi Mukasa was found in the bush, go to Kenya among the Kikuyu tribe you will find the true stories of Mumbi Mukasa.
The kola is the one which has brought about some confusions, this place was located from Angola, it covered the DRC the other Congo and part of Gabon. Lubas or Lundas never came from there. They established their kingdoms in the Upemba depression between the 4th or 5th centuries.
Yes everyone belongs to his ethic group regardless where you live. No one changes the the ethnicity due to the location. If you are Luvale you are Luvale even if you live in Kitwe.
250,000 and yet they became the largest ethic group in Zambia? This circus of 1964 is accurate.
The Luba and Lunda kingdom were not in Katanga province, but they were in the Upemba depression near the current Lualaba province. Katanga is a recent place founded by the great Lamba people, of interest to note is the fact that even the name Katanga came from a Lamba chief in Lubumbushi.
Materilial grouping is not only on the Bemba side most tribes in Zambia are and they don't consider themselves Bembas.
Point of corrections Bemba doesn't cover 5 provinces of Zambia, Bemba are indigenous of parts of Northern province and Muchinga province. Of late the people of Luapula who are not Bembas are counted together with Bembas for the long time the two groups have been together.
Perhaps you want to Learn more,The So Called Mwata Kazembe is a Grand Son of the Bemba People,When the Bembas Defeated the People who initially resided in Luapula, they Left Kanyembo a Grandson of Chiti lineage, hence the Reason for the People in Luapula Subscribing to Bemba
The Portuguese trader of the year 21/09/1798 was not in relation to the Bembas but Lambas who where trading in copper and ivory, with the neoubouring tribes inclusive of the Mwata Kazembe the date was the journal was dated 21/09/1798. Whosoever, misguided you with this falsehood is a cursed one, and will never see good days. The lies and misguided information is too much. Lambas reached the lambaland in later 1500 and by 1600 the lambas started the mining operations the extraction of ore took place on two locations, that is Bwanamkubwa near Ndola and Kansashi near Solwezi, both locations in lambaland not Bembaland. The smelting took place in Mufulira and from there the copper cathode found their way into the market. Bembas and Lambas in the known history they have never met not at all. Until in the years 1940s when they came to Lambaland in search of employment. There is no oral tradition non-written account which talks about the two great tribes meeting nothing, not at all whosoever, if one says that then he is talking from the political side.
Please enjoy the history of the Bemba people. We also share about the Bemba language in this controversial video.
Bembas are not superior to make Lambas inferior. We are a Tribe with Chiefs and have our provinces. Keep your Provinces to yourselves and don't bring anarchy. Respect is important
You are a very big lier and annoying. You are not Zambian after all, one can tell by your poor research and pronunciation. Remove the Lamba's. Copper Belt is Lamba land.
Sir I have circulated your video in different Lamba sections but am just asking for your name and contacts we need to engage you or probably educate you on this. You may have done it out of ignorance Or else drop this video and redo the bemba exclude the Lamba and Lambaland copper belt.
Let me conclude now Lambas and Bembas are not the same what is in this video is full of lies and misleading information. The two are not the same linguistically, traditionally and with customerily. The language spoken in copper belt urban is not Bemba but a lingua franca. It's like the Lusaka Nyanja, when did you hear the Nyanja lusaka is part of eastern because of Nyanja? I think this issue needs to be settled once and for all. I rest my case
You have upset me to the level I have never reached before.
@@kennethngalamika8180 a please tell me why you are upset?
Lies you have talked about the great Lambas reduce them to the people they never even come across to only to be met during urbanization.
@@Myths-Historythat you have talking about in video is completely lies on Lambas I can give you the true and complete Lamba history not this lies
The rail has never passed through the Bembaland but Lambaland
Read the books that have been written by Professor Clement M. Doke if you want to get the true history of Lambas. The most is "the Lamba people of northern Rhodesia"
When did Lambas became Bembas? When did the Lambaland became bemba land?
Go to mwine lubemba and ask him if copper belt is his territories and if Lamba people are his subject. Then we shall due with himself Chitimukulu But if you are merely dreaming and come and talk from your brain without research better you stop this nonsense
Research ask the indigenous of the tribes you want to write about get the truth rather than exposing falsehood and lies on this platform in order to please some people. Fis
Redo your video otherwise we can sue to court for giving false information. We have the history account written by the Baptist missionary and scientist of linguistic Prof Doke. We are not part of the bemba tribe please list if you have ear
Stop being petty even I'd you disagree who mostly occupies your lambaland if you're not happy make a video and post 😂
First read the book written by Prof Doke if you want to speak about Lambas, otherwise you will be mislead the people with falsehood. Us Lambas we are not subject of Chitimukulu we are a tribe on our own and please respect us. We are not a subtribe of the people we can to know when they came to look for a better life in Lambaland.
Lamba is not a dialect of bemba is a language on its own please redo this video remove Lamba and copper belt from the bemba people
I will take this video to the Lamba grouping and may we know you so that we can correct you.
Lambaland is the largest land as it covers copper belt, parts of Central and North western Provinces and the southern Katanga and Lualaba Provinces.
Stop mixing the copper belt to bemba
