Oh, by the way, my headcannon for Mega Man 1 on Gameboy was that the two sets of 4 robot masters represented the original 4 made by Dr. Light (Elec Man, Cut Man, Ice Man and Fire Man) that you defeat, and then later, you fight the versions that Wily made that were upgraded versions of those 4 (Fire Man -> Heat Man, Ice Man -> Bubble Man, Elec Man -> Flash Man, Cut Man -> Quick Man).

The mechanics aren't good and it's a bit of a maze where you have to think outside the box but at least you get to keep all your upgrades when you game over.

I'm willing to bet that they are using old copies of very cheap games for the shell and circut board. With a cart reader you can probably reflash it to something else. Im very curious if you own thr samr copy and what that one looks like vs this.

speaking of nintendo rumors.... I told all my friends about super mario 3, none of them believed me. A pizza shop in Utica had it on a play choice machine. Then "The Wizard" came out and they still didn't believe me.

Have you played the Japanese version? It has cut scenes. After you beat Alien lair, it shows a cut scene of you jumping in a chopper, and with each consecutive playthrough it adds a flag to the side of the chopper. By the 5th playthrough, those kamikaze guys are flooding the screen.
