Thank you so much for this video, I have a singer 15-91, i tried your steps, when I sewed, the bobbing thread got very tangled, not sure why, any help with this? Thank you in advance I am still looking for a chain stitch, sewing machine, and your video motivated me even more to start with what I have .

They say don't pick those cases up by the handle. Use the handle only to take off the top. Thanks for the tip, although I have my key hanging on a string on the handle.

This Singer 15-88 on my bucket list. It'll be my go-to machine, since it can do it all. I have a Singer 15-30 in a treadle, but it doesn't have a backtack.

Hello...Do you have any information of the manufacturer of this machine. I have a machine that is exactly like this one, except it has the word Mission V where the word Reliance is on your machine. I have the original owner's manual but that doesn't have the manufacturer's name. I would appreciate any information you might have. Thanks

It's kind of ironic that this is not in the singer 15-91 sewing machine manual. You would think that something this important would be in the manual.

This doesn’t apply to most Singer 15’s I believe. Works for 15-88, 15-89 and likely 15-90 and 15-91

It's an old Jones family CS machine, Jones were singers major competitor and unlike singer badged machines for retailers. Their factory was in Manchester, they became brother by the late 60s

I just saw one of these for sale. I'm curious if you know anything about their durability and what kind of work it is good for. It's hard to find much information on them.

Hi there from New Zealand. I have 2 Vickers made machines, the Vickers factory were a company which made sewing machines under different labels. Mine are "Monarch Special" sold by the British Sewing Machine Co. However you may have a Jones. They also made machine for different companies in runs of 100 machines. I think this because of the large screw just in front of the spool pin, and the access plate at the back. Vickers had chromed plates and no screw. Jones had painted plates and a screw. Vickers didn't have a tension release on the tension knob, their release is automatic. Both are wonderful machines.
