I don’t know what the thing is, but if I didn’t know this is one of the greatest jazz guitarists of all time (if not the greatest) I would think “oh, another slow-fingered schmuck, who just can’t get it done”. 😅 Is classical guitar so much more difficult?!
I'm coming at jazz from the opposite direction, as a classical and flamenco player. I'll feel lucky if I meet you half way. There is a track called Hail Bossa on my channel, you might like my simple approach.
I'm myself a BIG Bud Powell fan and I deffinitely admire pasquale but i think from bebop until nowdays music advanced so much to stick only to it. I've met a lot of "bebop" heads who doesn't consider music anything that hasn't eight notes in and is below280bpm. Bebop was above all inovation. Hope pasquale isn't that kind of guy.
Love your playing man! I noticed that you adopt the classical posture when playing an archtop guitar. Do you you find it less natural when you are playing a jazz groove? Looking forward to hearing more from you. Cheers, Joe

Why would someone hit the dislike button? I fear for mankind!
Me too! I saw him in person at a friend's house & he played jazz on a house D'Angelico & some are posted by Stan on here. Savant but no idiot.

Exactement ! bien "entendu".Dommage que la prise de son soit mauvaise et la batterie ne me semble pas indispensable... en tout cas ce batteur !
Jazz Master!!!
